Connect to your box via a browser on your computer (put in the IP address into the address bar), then you'll see your bouquets, on the right hand side you'll see an option to download a file (stream.m3u or something like that), open this in VLC player and you're good to go.

Yet again Clareman, thank you. Working away no bother!

    Hi,

Could anyone advise me on this issue. Have a vu solo2 that is flashed with blackhole.
Yesterday the power was cut and I believe it came back on within 30 seconds from what ive been told. The vu solo2 is always left on as its used daliy. When I go to boot up the box it comes up with the normal blackhole letters in colour, then it moves to the next screen which is the picture below. After a few seconds the loading circle starts in the corner but it stays like that.
    16d4e189-43ff-41fb-8476-bdcd538b5fb6.jpg

Is there a possible easy fix or is it hardware related?

    Any help would be great!

If you have a usb key in it take it out and try again, otherwise just ftp onto it to backup whatever you need and just reflash it, I wouldn't think it's a terminal issue and you'll have it reflashed faster than troubleshooted a lot of times

Did you try powering off at back, ie that small rocker switch and then switch on.

Judging by the picture the box has gone past boot and is loading the add ons, something like that happened to me before and it turned out to be CrossEPG got corrupted on the stick due to the unexpected loss in power

Hey guys newbie to the thread here just received my solo2 today from satexperts received it next day so good turn around time.

I'm coming from using an amiko alien 2 for the past 18 months so the speed of this bugger is pretty cool i set it up with a ready made open atv image to get me started and get a feel for it everything went smoothly all channels ect working.

The Ts media plugin works really well compaired to alien2 which I kinda expected as it was under powered.

Dont really have any problems but just wondering has anyone got the xbmc launcher working properly with any wizards or do ye just install the addons from repository? Had a quick look earlier but none seemed to be compatible so maybe 13.2 is just too old.

There no need for wizard they just mess your box up @jay26 and make sure you setup swap file manager before installing anything from xbmc .

Will send you pm to help get you up and running .

I sure can i dont think it's breaking any rules as it's mostly links to downloads ect but if a mod wants to delete it work away.

first setup swap file manager as xbmc as it will eat your flash up .

Then telnet this command in it fixes script errors
    opkg install python-pkgutil

Now you will need mediaplayer2 to fix audio problem
    http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/mediaplayer2-upgrade-05-11-2015-howto-make-mediaplayer2-your-default-player-on-xbmc.23381/#post-192540

here,s a navi-x fix no need to mess with myskin fix just install download link is in the first post .

Tip after you done this install addon installer
after you install this goto programs featured install ichannel pheonix gensis etc as it will download dependcies need it saves you a lot of hassle .

Lads where is the best place to buy the solo2 from at the moment?

Is it best to buy preflashed with an image and an internal hard drive or set these up separately myself?

Installing image plus configuring is 10-15 minutes job. I bought the hdd separately and installed it myself. Very easy to do it, let us know if you need any help..

Hi mate i bought mine from here two weeks ago

    http://satexperts.ie/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51

I boughtine with a flashed images just to see what it was like but I flashed my own images after 10 minutes so that was a waste of a tenner ha.

Hard drive is really easy to install if u have one at home yourself go ahead and do it save money too and if you get stuck just search on youtube.

If you need any help on flashing images or links to images you will get help on here.

The box itself is worth the money it's top notch.

In my opinion these boxes are a hobby box, part of the fun of having them is setting them up yourself and getting everything just right, being able to do this when they are brand new and under warranty is a great way of building up confidence.

    Thanks lads.

I bought a Wetel Play recently so I will be setting this up over the weekend but I have my doubts this will be good enough to use as my primary TV box so I have been looking at alternative boxes if I cant get the Wetek operating as I would like.

I've been reading good things about the VU Solo2 so just wondering if it is worth the €340 price tag including the hard drive...?

It all depends on what you use it for mate. If you use it as your main tv box and have everything set up on it well it is easily worth it.

Thanks lads, thats just confirmed it for me. Was considering other boxes like the Mutant 2400 and Xtrend 8000 but I think the VU Solo2 is my preferred choice.

I will see how the Wetek gets on for a few weeks then most likey get myself one of the Solo2's:D
