    Johnstown I would have thought.

Matt Ruth and Richie Doyle both went to CBS.

There is a school in Johnstown true enough but i remember PJ saying in an interview he went to Thurles.
    See here

He may have switched at some stage so we may both be right.

Why would Paul Murphy have went to Balyhale generally just the locals & troubled teens (kicked out of other schools) went/go there

Thats a ludicrously insulting statement to make. Ballyhale have always got a good few from Danesfort and Tullaroan and these places over the years

Not something that has any relevance, or requires discussion here.

Absolutely. Testicular is one of the most curable forms of cancer once an early diagnosis is made so hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Get well soon noel, the kilkenny minors play wexford away saturday week, what kind of team have they?I'd imagine a lot of the kierans winning team will be overage,I think darragh joyce and tommy walsh underage don't know of many others altho I remember hearing last year that this year's batch is fairly strong but ya never know with minors all you have to do is look at this time last year against dublin, not many could of predicted what would follow.

Best of luck to Noel and hopefully we will see him fit and well again soon.

Interesting day in the Park on Sunday, good chance to see who is going well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 119 ✭✭Fort Stranger

Best wishes to Noel, Hopi g for a swift recovery! Just saw that there is a friendly against Cork for Jamie Wall, would it not be a good idea to get a huge crowd by asking all of the lad recently retired from both counties to play and give the fans a chance to pay tribute to them while raising money for a great cause, imagine if Henry Tommy JJ Brian Taggy Herity Sean Og, Donal Og John G and co were on the programme, I would want to see that? Could anyone over there suggest it to the organisers?

Have to say the Nowlan Park pitch today was a credit to the groundsteam there lads. Likewise the organisation around the place too. Hats off to all involved. Nice to come away from there happy for once too, and I'm sure ye lot had a little smirk to see Tipp beaten.... ;)

    Who's his old man?

Best of luck to the minors, should be tough for them, Wexford Park is a tough place to go generally.

Wonder what type of side we have this year, not an awful lot of lads from last year, but that could be a good thing too I suppose.

James O'Connor, a former Wexford hurler. Saw him play few times centre back, fine hurler and as tough as nails. Son is captain of KK minors

FT 1-13 to 1-13 ET To be played. Gaffney kept us in the game really, including a 21m free in the corner deep into injury time to send it to ET

Kilkenny 1-18 Wexford 1-17 AET. Kilkenny receive a bye into the SFs, when it all gets going again after the exams

Like the last two years they probably would have benefitted from another game before the Semi but a good win in a tough place to go to.

Yea. Played IC in the 80s when Wexford were putting it up to KK on a regular basis. Moved to KK with work and played with the Village for a season or two. Played CB/CF for the Village. Reminded me of Pat Walsh of Windgap. Not tall but strong under a high ball. Some man to sink pints too when the occasion demanded...
