Are you a nurse? I'm not working in practice at the moment. I really wish I was.

There are a few around the site I think. I'm defo not the only one. There are definitely one or two over in the Animals and Pets forum. :)

Yeah im a nurse, not working either. Work is a bit dry out there.

Nice to see another one round here! :D

Yeah that's true. Work is very dry. Just looked at the IVNA website - no job alerts! I'm only learning to drive at the minute so that's not really helping my chances.

I actually did a tour somewhere else that talked about bodysnatching! Can't remember where, though  How fab! I love quirky history like that! Was it all Renaissancey at the start? I love the Renaissance :)

    Sorry just saw this now!

Yeah we started with that kind of thing, the emergence of anatomy (bodysnatching included :D) and the 'medical marketplace'; basically the difference between professional physicians and 'quacks' in the 16th-17th centuries.
Some of the most interesting stuff was about the effect of the industrial revolution on the British population's health, and how the government couldn't find enough healthy soldiers to fight in the Boer War.

Good luck with the driving. There's nothing to it. You should get a little car to practice in, it'll be easier.

A year qualified and applying for work in England since April, so hopefully something comes up soon.

I booked a hotel and used my friends email. He forwarded it to me to print closer to arrival and now I can't find it in my inbox. 99% sure I didn't delete it. Either the search function in outlook is gammy or I'm screwed!

I'm 3 years qualified. Where did you study? It's very disheartening tbh.

Despite the fact that I've no exams - I'm still procrastinating. It's going to be one of those days where doing one remotely useful things justifies doing nothing for the rest of the day XD

Is The Field from Father Ted scientific?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,813 ✭✭✭PhysiologyRocks

I am trying to get one of my cousins to get involved in arranging a marriage for our other cousin.

I have not been successful so far... :(

It may be the cultural impropriety. It may be the fact that I'm advocating the use of a wedding chair with added netting to prevent their escapes.

    Any tips welcome.

Just tried the Tayto chocolate for the first time. It's . . . weird. Tastes of nothing when you're eating it, but leaves a manky crispy aftertaste

Sounds delicious :P I do not like anything I have ever tasted where crisps are combined with chocolate. The crisps get soggy and stale tasting. It just ends up ruining both the crisps and the chocolate.

I'm fairly certain I want to make the same thing I made last night for my dinner. Pasta with bacon, mushrooms, green pesto and parmesan. YUM. It was SO tasty that I want it again, even though I had the leftovers for my lunch :o
