It's a bit annoying tbh. It's all over my Twitter feed.. :o

Irish people?!?! I always saw it as an American thing. It drives me mad! Who is this Patty and why is she trying to take over poor Paddy's day?!

Where has this Patty's Day thing come out of? Who decided Patty was short for Patrick?

Patty is their short version of Patrick, we shorten it to Paddy because of Pádraig, as far as I am aware anyway.

You know it's starting well when you can't even manage to melt the chocolate properly
I think I rescued it though...

What happened it, get some water in it? Nothing tastes worse than burnt chocolate!

I tried on my engagement ring last night for the first time, the stones are being put in this week and we're collecting it next weekend. It's so pretty :D And so heavy, not sure if it's the ring or a psychological thing. We picked out the emerald last night too, so sparkly! And then we all went to a house party and had a great night.

I'm being so bold, still in bed :o himself is just gone to town to get food and then we're going to watch more movies :D

Hope you're all enjoying Paddy's Day celebrations

I used bourneville for the cups... in my defence, I've found it always melts really well when I'm melting it with butter for something.
Used lindt for the mousse itself. Also had the condensing problem with it

What way are you melting it? For both chocolates to do it is odd. Bourneville!!! Tut tut bluey!! :P

I'm looking at a recipe that looks for 4tbsp sunflower oil. Only have olive oil...can I sub butter in? Needs to be cooked at gas mark 7 so thought butter might not work...

edit: I'm also on a baking with lemon kick and now really want to make these http://bakingmad.com/recipes/freefrom/little-lemon-pots

I think olive would be grand once it's not really strong extra virgin olive oil. Most supermarket "extra virgin" is not that strong so you should be ok.

I almost always melt water over a pan of water, I don't add water then though because a tiny amount of water can make it buckle completely and go crumbly, if I'm melting a very small bit of choc (under 100g) I throw in a good bit of water and pop it in microwave, loosens it up well.

Would rather risk the butter - don't do 1-1 though I think you use more butter than you would have used of oil

    "(i.e.: 1 cup butter = 3/4 cup of oil + 1/4 cup of water)."
Ah I didn't realise RacoonQueen was talking about baking!

Lookit I just sat down to laptop directly from 30 Day Shred, you're lucky that was 99% coherent at all! Melt chocolate over a pan of water

I'd sub butter for oil, it just won't be as moist, but would still be perfect.

Yeah googling has thrown that up. Maybe won't do that this evening. I'll go for the gluten free choc chip muffins I think...and maybe lemon drizzle cupcakes.

It's my turn to throw something together for cake day in work this week. Was thinking of my chocolate cheese cake but wanted to make something for the non-chocolate heads so the lemon drizzle cupcakes look handy. The lemon drizzle cake I make takes 80 mins in the oven so I don't want to be doing that at 9pm on Thursday evening :)

Now I want lemon drizzle cake. So hungry. Boyfriend is making hot cross buns tonight for breakfast tomorrow, yum! Love his buns :p

He made Guinness, apple and cheese bread, yesterday, it's delish. And spelt bread the day before, om nom nom.

Just another 30DS and I can definitely feel it getting easier, I only nearly collapsed once this time :p

Would love to do something fun this evening but I've to be up really early tomorrow to study :( I can't wait till I'm finished college! Only 2 more months :D

    Mmm, gluten :)

Galway beers bluey? Guarantee it'll be a date I'll be busy. I used to be one of those people who never has places to be, now so many weekends are taken up with stuff!

Today I worked in the morning, did workout, visited friends, visited family, not bad so far! Trying to decide whether to go out tonight or stay in and be cosy in front of the fire.

    Meanie :(

I do have gluten filled lemon drizzle cupcakes in the oven but with a race tomorrow I will not be indulging tonight. Maybe tomorrow after the race. :)

There's about 5 kinds of bread being made in my kitchen right now, he's a terror, I'll eat them all and get fat! But mmm gluten :P

After two days of 30 Day Shred I can pull my stomach muscles in so much more. It looks creepy and concave-y, I like it :D
