    I'm in a **** mood... :-(

Latest to add to it is realising that since I left college and had to step down as President of the society I set up, my friends who took over have done absolutely nothing and the society has pretty much died. It was such a good idea with real potential and I'm so disappointed to see what's happened to it. I'm gonna have so much work to do to try get it back up and running next year.

I probably have it in my bookmarks somewhere but does anyone have the M&S like cookie recipe?

    edit: found it, I think

Thank you. No I'm not taking lessons, I'm a bit nervous in water, so when I took lessons I just couldn't make myself do anything! She would say "Ok everybody relax forward " And I'd think "NO WAY!". So now I'm spending time messing around trying to get over my silly fear at my own pace. So far I can float on my back with the spagetti float, and now I can float forward with it, but I still haven't built up the courage to loosen my grip, so I'm kind of swimming in circles using just my legs :o

It also takes me a few mins to get into it. When I first get to the pool I'm like a limpet on my poor husband. Hopefully if we go every week by the end of next month I'll be a bit more confident.

Well done!! That's brilliant progress :)

Had a horrible horrible day in work :(

Watching Comic Relief, it's so sad - donating as I type

    Anyone here an accountant??

I am! It's boring as hell but you make a lot of money.

Dunno if I'll do it forever. Well I say that now, ask me if I'm still doing it in a few years :p

For some reason I always thought you worked in media or advertising...no idea why now though.

God almighty. I love my sister but she needs an intervention on how to use Facebook. She's put up something really personal to us as a family, which is ok-ish, but then tagged myself and my brother in it. Both of us are fairly private about stuff on facebook, I'm really annoyed. Detagged myself but sure the world and his wife have seen it now I'd say. Grr.

Princess peach I always thought you were in the English/journalism field!

Cheers, i'll have to do that. I'm more upset that she thought it was ok to do it, it's nobody's business so why splash it all over fb? She's not a teenager either, she's bloody 37!

Opened a bottle of Schneider Weisse about 40 mins ago, am 1/4 way through it and falling asleep already.

Felt tired before opening it so prob shouldn't have opened it.

Ha ha I must be like DK's baby, I forgot all about the episode where the Silence are all "you should kill us all on sight" :D

Definitely my favourite storyline! Actually I loved the whole Pond era :p

In other news, I am drinking all my lovely exercise calories earned today...but I don't care, I love red wine.

Won't be around much for a few weeks ladies, have taken on a new challenge in work, and it means pretty much 70 hours a week for the next 2 months :)

I'll be sleeping and studying outside of that :)

Will most likely keep up reading and have the odd post, but not as participative :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,103 ✭✭✭misslt

    New ones as in post-Pond?

I need to watch them myself again, I'm really looking forward to seeing how they bring Jenna Louise Colemans storyline together.

Two weeks tonight to the next one :D

Forgot about that one actually! I never paid as much attention to those as I did the ones that built into the overall storyline :o

    Oh good luck stheno!

Have friends coming for dinner tomorrow. Thinking of a lump of bacon (is ham the same?) and garlic colcannon for the day that's in it. Maybe roast lamb instead? Or just a little mezze type thing with falafel and other delights!

    Decisions decisions.

I have had wine. I am working in the morning.

Ah great, you can't really go wrong with bacon (can you?). Is ham the same? What should I be looking for when I got into the shop.

I only usually cook ham/bacon at Christmas so I'm clueless.

Pixie-Fairy, how did you nearly drown?

Ham is salted bacon, if you buy ham instead, then a lovely and hassle free way to cook it is to score the skin (the butcher will do that) spread loads of honey on the skin, and cook it at about 170 degrees for about an hour and a half, and you do could do fab roast veggies at the same time :)

I vote roast lamb, but it is my fave roast dinner and I cannot stand bacon/ham or cabbage, urgh! I would go hungry rather than eat that. :o

Hope you have a great time whatever you choose :)

Jaysus, had no idea you were an accountant, on top of everything else! Did you go ACA or ACCA route, or other?

I've been working towards it years now, and still not quite qualified yet ... getting there, though!! :)

Thanks :) I think I'll get salmon too. Just in case they don't like ham. There will be a child and a non Irish person there too and I am led to believe love of ham is uniquely Irish. :D

I'm really looking forward to it.

Anyone watching the Gay Byrne programme on RTÉ1?

The guy from Aslan is on singing, what is with the hand movements?

    Happy Paddy's Day everyone! :)

    Right back at ya! :)

I'm living in Dublin nearly five years now, and every year I intend to go to the parade, but something always comes up that I miss it. Was determined to go today, but I just looked out the window and it's snowing really heavily, it's like a blizzard out there. F*ck that!! I'm staying in bed. :)

70 hours! Good God, anything over 25-30 hours and I start getting cranky :P Best of luck! :)

I can move my legs again, which is nice. Trying to decide whether to make them seize up again with 30 Day Shred or do C25k, which is now the "easy" option, lol :P
