Has anyone being playing Wastelands in ARMA3 recently?

Used to play it quite a bit in ARMA2, but it wasn't really quite ready when I tried it in ARMA3 (at the time there was limited weapon boxes, few vehicles, etc).

18th of June Alpha will be gone, 900mb update wonder what it broke

Beta is out now if you're on the development beta. To get to that its right click on arma 3 in steam library > Properties > betas > Development build. Your arma 3 should do a 1.2gb update. By the way new vehicles are awesome

I was only joking but I was surprised to read on the official arma 3 forums that there have been significant (+10fps) performance increases, so that is great news. I also read several months ago that Nvidia mentioned that they would release an optimised driver but not during the alpha...so maybe we'll get that soon as well. Playing wasteland the last few nights was good fun but the poor fps makes it a bit tiring

I was playing on the AllInArma wasteland a few months ago and that was fun, only because all of the arma 2 vehicles and weapons.

Framerates are up around 50% for me. Gone from a solid 40fps to a solid 60 fps.

My frame rate seems to be capped at 30 fps.

The new update adds more post processing to the engine.

This is a stunningly beautiful game.

Yes, but at the cost of frame rate stability. So sometimes you will get screen tearing when the frame rate jumps a lot.
On some games enabling vsync can cause input lag. I usually leave it off, unless I can run a game triple buffered at 60p.
