If you just have the basic sport package, can you get the nsport channels free?

Or is it just if you have a more substantial package?

If you just do a full recan will they show up, or will the frequencies have to be inputted manually

new prepaid nc+ cards will be out on the 16th april they are 2 weeks late - there's a big anti nc+ group on facebook and the whole subscriber bas eseems to be furious at them - they've hiked up prices for no new channels! that's what is keeping the prepaid cards on hold - they are going to change the pricing structure .

Been reading through some of the polish websites about nc+. The merger really has hit a nerve back in Poland. Even some of the board members have resigned because of the fall out over the price increases.

I remember the same happening in Germany when Mr greedy took over premier.
    Interesting article here in English

I had a look back at what I was paying for the old Cyfra card.

I paid €72 + delivery for a 6 month card that gave me the 5 Canal+ channels (Canal+, Film, Sport, Gol and Weekend). This got me all the premier league games for €12 a month

The closest equvalent I can see for nC+ is the Platinum package which is €32 a month to get the 5 Canal+ channels as well as good few others like Eurosport, nsport and ESPN.

I wonder will they be showing any premier league on Canal+Film or Canal+Family or will they all be on Canal+ Sport ?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 5,979 Mod ✭✭✭✭Nowso

they plan to show some sport on family and maybe canal +

but at these prices it may be time to look at other options

Still looks like a minimum of €28 per month to get Canal+Sport which is way more than it used to be.

someone was saying total tv on 16 east is a good one. You need an offical card/decoder though as the card is paired.

Personally, If Cyfra will be this expensive, then Sky Italia is the way to go with an offical card/receiver too. Most stuff (Apart from epl) is in English.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78 ✭✭dbcool

sky italia aint got he epl next season ! pitch international out bid them and rumour has it have sold to mediaset who plan to launch a dtt service with al jazeera - the've also got the la liga and rights thats why sky italia have bought the bundesliga! - to fill schedules!!!

So any sign of these new pre paid cards yet? Thought it was the 16th they were being released?

Have the n premium film channels gone now?

Seems you buy a card, then register it and activate it by sms. After the initial time is up you again use sms to order your package on a monthly period. All i can see on the nc+ site is these 2 options for prepaid:

No sign of the canal+ sport channels either on these options.

It just all seems like a bad deal all around this merger. N subscribers seem to have lost their n premium film channels. All the canal+ subscribers seem to have gained is n sport??

We havent got long left on our subs, my wife has suggested we dont get a card at all when this goes as she seems to watch all her polish stuff now on a polish internet site "ipla" So i may look at another foreign provider from next season. Shame the bulgarian packages dont have HD EPL. Theres been no news on what tv providers in czech/Slovakia will show epl.

Is there any chance that the likes of EPL/FA would have put pressure on to stop selling sports as a long term prepay, to deter "wrongful" subscribers?

they have the 18 month cards now which should mean the new 12 month ones should be on the way.

they have cracked down on english commentarys mainly

they seem to have taken away though the canal+ only prepaid card (Canal+, Canal+film, Canal+sport, Canal+gol, Canal+weekend) that was about 160€ a year. so looks the only way to get the canal+sport channel is with a premium package. Daylight robbery. No wonder people are pissed off in Poland.

The new multipaket card? but how much is it, as i havent found one prepaid card yet under 475€ with the sports channels, granted thats 18months sub.

Cheapest ive found so far advertising sport is this one at 375€ for 12 months. Yes agreed the eurosport package is a great addition as they show live bundisliga (Which i am enjoying a lot recently)

Satsklep havent added it to there site bot the 12 months should be simular and around that price

Ive been chatting to some guys on "Anty Nc+" on facebook, there doesn't seem to be any news on prepaid at all. Some people have been offered the 199zl/month package at a price of 119zl/month. Polsat must be clearing up now. Shame there is no EPL on it though.

I used cardsplitter last year and had no problems. Just about to renew and getting a deal for being an existing customer. That nC+ Package All Inclusive+ 18 months for 2699pln instead of 3599pln (Satsklep is 3699pln). That is a saving of about €250 - cant complain.

Have nc+ definitely been awarded the epl? Or were the rights won by a 3rd party in Poland?

We still have polsat and possibly orange sport that could have it, but by guessing that canal+ sport is only available on the top packages, one would assume nc+ does have it.
so, I've searched for a list of definate broadcasters that have rights, but have struggled to get any information. A lot of rights seem to be held by 3rd parties, who then "sub let"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,685 ✭✭✭✭wonski

nc+ got rights for next three seasons(Premierleague), bear in mind not all games are shown. Currently all premierleague games are on canal+sport, but this can change. At this moment they have rights for premierleague, laliga, ligue1 and Championsligue, also Bundesliga available on Eurosport2

BTW Champions League semi finals will be on Canal+Sport, too - Canal+Family and Family2 show other games like laliga and ligue1.
Generally all the best matches are on Canal+Sport, but to get this channel you have to choose most expensive options, so the rest of the channels will be there in case some of the games are shown at the same time.

Yep, that's the problem. We don't need all those extra channels. Wife watches her soaps and serials on Ipla at her own convenience.

That's why i stayed on ntv pay as you go offer - pay between 5 and 15 euro/month, and get all i need EXCEPT premierleague. Not worth paying that much (initially they wanted ~50euro/month, brought it down to 30 after customers went mad), especially that i can only watch 1-2 games over weekend - i just go to the pub(or friends) to watch Premier League
Still have choice of La Liga, Serie A and Ligue1 matches in HD, and other european leagues - always something to watch in great quality.

The bottom line is they pay a lot for Premier League rights (they show them since 1994!), so they have to ask for money to keep it for next years. And every broadcaster does the same - including Sky. I wouldn't mind paying let's say 20 euro/month for sport only, instead i have to get 200 channels i never watch to get 2 that i will use only over a weekend... Rant over...

Anyway - you need to get platinum, in return you get more sports than you will be able to watch...

Don't worry about the rant. We are all ranting, been reading some interesting stuff on facebook. Premier league on Sky Ireland with HD is 110€ a month! Apart from sport, Polish TV is the most watched in this house. I possibly only watch RTE for the news, but i get that off the internet at my convenience. TVP1, TVN and dare I say TVN Style is most watched 3 channels.

Is that on the Canal Family channels? I'm assuming (and correct me if I'm wrong) that these have replaced the nPremium 1-4 channels? These were always excellent for movies on my TNK sub - I notice that the Family channels are now offered instead on this package.
