Canal+ Cyfrowy Poland is this same as Cyfra+

Next seasons EPL for poland has gone to" Canal+ Cyfrowy Poland seals Premier League deal"

Is this the same as what I knew as Cyfra + and can I use same card?

My card has just expired last night!!

I think they may be different. The CANAL+ channels don't seem to be listed in the cyfrowy polsat packages.

Cyfra is merging with another satellite company called N so things are up in the air at the moment.

I would have thought it is Cyfra. Canal+ Cyfrowy Poland means Canal+ Digital Poland so the Premier League will continue to be on the Canal+ channels in Poland

its the same company they have the rights for next year. they are not selling news subs anymore

they are joining together with n to form a new platform Nc+ which will be launched in about a month. this will mean extra channels available , but subscription packages and prices and availability over here are not yet known.

thanks all, when you look on the site they are selling cards for 18 months duration. I did send an email asking if my existing card can be updated but the reply was a bit garbled. However, the post above explains it. This is the bit in the emial that foxed me.

" If you are interest the Cyfra card I propose to buy it as soon as possible because when we received new offer nc+ all card from old cyfra+ will not be selling. "

However will I still get the footie for the 18 months?? Its still a good price. The merger may change things.

all there saying is they wont be selling Cyfra plus when nc+ comes in which nobody can anyway .

Nc+ cards , will have nsport which will have champions league/ europa league aswell,

The nc+ cards will have the premier league etc , but we have to wait and see the set up

I agree with previous posters.

What Ive read elsewhere is that if you buy a Cyfra card now/renew a card now, that will be honoured. But after the merger takes place a new card/system will start and what that new system will be is still unclear.

Im sure satskelp will always look after its Irish customers, Ive never had any problem with them.

You can't renew the cards, AFAIK. You have to buy a new one.

rurs is correct. You can't renew. You just have to buy a new card. I must have three or four old expired card lying around the place at this stage.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but does anyone know if C+ sports nba coverage is with polish commentary? I know there is only one audio track but i am wondering as its live in the small hours if they bother with the polish commentary.

Any NBA i've seen on it is in Polish.

The NBA on Spanish channel C+ Deportes has the option of English audio for the NBA as well as WRC and most other sports it shows.

Al Jazeera seem to have some or all of the same NBA games as Canal+, with English (American) commentary.

Nc+ starts on 21 March 2013. a lot of channels are changing

so its best to wait see whats happening

you need to email them to activate it now all u need is your card number n stuff like that.

last time I had to email satkelp and it was working within a few minutes. My new one arrives next week and this time I know which channel to start on but as its for 18 months and is the last one I would not be surprised if it was pre activated. However it would make sense if I had to email them as they would then know when the ceassation date applied.

As long as it works I am well happy.

The new Polish DTH platform nC+, formed by the merger of Cyfra+ and n, will officially make its debut on March 21.
Speaking in the local media, Christian Anting, a member of the board at the platform and responsible for its content and offer, said that the date was symbolic in that it not only marked the start of spring but also the 18th anniversary of Canal+’s entry into Poland.
He also said that the new platform would have the best offer on the Polish market. Furthermore, there would be “great elasticity” in the offer, with customer being able to choose from a large number of packages.
Subscribers would also only require one remote and one set-top box to receive the service. Promotion of nC+, which has just got under way, shows that the offer will include six Canal+ -branded channels, with Canal+ Gol and Canal+ Weekend not present.
It will also include several Canal+ thematic channels, nSport HD and several channels, including Discovery Channel HD, hitherto available on only n.
The new platform will launch with around 2.6 million subscribers, some 1 million fewer than the market leader Cyfrowy Polsat.

well I got my card today, sent an email at 10am and still not activated!! its the cyfra+ card. they are usually very quick ie within an hour.

fingers crossed it will get sorted asap.

the new nc+ cards are lot dearer on launch but with a lot more channels.

there was a bad response to the prices and they announced today that current subcribers can negotiate a cheaper price ie something closer 2 current cyfra price

So basically the gol and weekend etc will be renamed. Anyone get the n sport etc or is that too be made available on the 5th. Just curious if I would get these with my current super premuim card.

The card that is being talked about in this thread is in Polish.

I dont think that any card exists that shows premiership football in English except Sky available in Europe
