Bit of snizzle in the air here in Carlow.

Had a good 15 mins of heavyish graupel in Sandyford, turned everything white, but then melted away as soon as it eased off. Now proper snow, but probably a bit small, light and fluffy to stick on what is now wet ground.

Is it just me or is that light band behind the current showers becoming more organised ?

Had a heavy graupel shower earlier, followed by a moderate snow shower and now another moderate snow shower (starting to mix with rain unfortunately). The graupel gave a nice dusting, but temps too high for settling snow.

    From aa Roadwatch:

Reports of substantial snow fall in Dalkey, Stepaside and Carrickmines. Take care.
Snow is falling on the M50 between the J15 Kilternan and J16 Cherrywood. Drive with care.

Been little bits of snow falling on and off most of the day in Lusk, you'd have to really stare though to see them... quite a bit heavier now but still not enough to accumulate. Nice all the same!

There's a nice few build-ups across the Irish sea now from Kendal/Blackpool area, hopefully it'll pick up as the temperatures drop.

I'm quite looking forward to cycling 10km at 4pm, will have to bring camera just in case
