ITV4 are showing series 5 right now, with the death of ITV Encore I presume series 6 will be on ITV so back where it began.

The 'Tear Down This Wall' speech happened in 1987. That's quite the time jump forward. Not just that but the speech was written as a challenge to the newly appointed Gorbachev who was already telling the world that he planned a new era of openess and restructuring. The speech was also largely ignored politically and publicly until the aftermath of the gates being opened over two years later. So is that a clue that the series is going to go all the way to the fall of the wall? It certainly seems so.

I am watching season 5 on itv. up to episode 6, slow pace .


If itv encore is gone that's good news. W may get series 6 on itv in the summer.

I've been looking at the various ITV channels Sky has and don't see it.

I have an old sky box linked to uk channels.but I cant record!So I have to watch in the middle of the night!

Its worth it for the americans,,

Yeah I used to be able to get ITV4 on the old box but can't on this one.

Is there any way to legally watch The Americans (season 5) in Ireland in HD? Amazon won't let me buy it, and I don't have Apple TV. It's driving me nuts. Love this show.

When I used an old sky box to watch the freeview channels, I was able to record programmes on a video recorder that I connected between the Sky box and the TV. I'm sure that you could do the same with a DVD recorder.

(Tune the recorder into the feed from the Sky box. Set the recorder to record the sky channel between 1.50am and 2.45am on Wednesday morning, and make sure the Sky box is on ITV4.)

I lost touch with this after the first series, as ITV snuck it to an obscure slot and then to ITV Encore which is (was) a SKY only channel, with ITV4 now having it is it worth jumping back in? Will I be confused by years having passed, is everyone still utterly untrustworthy?

6.01

One of the best episodes they've done overall. Music rights must have cost a fortune.

You could almost peel Elizabeth's exhaustion off the screen, serious amount of ops for her and the concentration required. 'Dead Hand' won't be the trickiest part of this year, it'll be strain at home. That bench chat, that 1am exchange. So much of the episode was 'it's all in the family', basically. And future generations. We have a better sense of Paige's world view, though not much new and she's still fairly green.

And come on, who doesn't enjoy a full name Arkady Ivanovich/Oleg Burov door greeting?

All the paintings kinda looked like you were seeing a person
.. who was on the other side of a window
.. and that the window was dirty or had rain going down it or both!
