It'll be ok, my Furry Lucy. :(

I'll come over and sing you Soft Penguin.

If that doesn't help, I'll attempt some physical comedy. I'm known to trip when I attempt the Gangnam Style dance.

Wishing you a hasty recovery! :)

Not really. It's not like you put food directly into it without using a container and the microwaves would kill any airborne bacteria anyway.

Just because we need more penguins. Lucy, how are the plans for the penguin sanctuary coming along?

Lucyfur, National Geographic this month have a penguin article. :)
    Empathies! :(

You know, though, you could make a game of it.

Get a friend to prepare food purees and blindfold you. You will then gain points for every foodstuff you correctly identify.

The prize is chocolate for when you're better.

The raw meat puree may delay your recovery, though.

Come to my house! I have been pureeing, liquidising, mashing up a storm and have a freezer full of pureed goo for this game!

My brother had a friend over the other night for FIFA and beer. The place is swimming in jellies. It's really hard not to disappear a bag of them to my room.

I was at an event this morning, first we had round table chats with employers trying to understand graduates needs. They all loved me and said they could listen to my accent all day :pac: then we had a question panel and apparently I'm hilarious. I'm gonna stay in Canada, I'm popular here :pac:

Met an Irish woman too who just immigrated to my town! Was nice chatting to her, you don't get many Irish coming here!

It was really interesting, and tasty free breakfast. Had to come straight back to work to organise another networking event for students that's happening now, but soon we get pizza. That makes 3 free meals from college this week. Busy but worth it :D

Peach, have you met any people from Newfoundland? They have the WEIRDEST accents.

I'm seriously there like "when are you going to stop messing and commit to a Canadian or an Irish accent? You can't have both!".

My brother is a complete ditz. He went out to get coffee beans yesterday. I saw him looking at the old pack before he went and said, "You don't have to get that exact bag, any will do." He came back later and said, "They didn't have the beans you want." And I told him I didn't want any specific beans any would have done, to which he said, "Yeah, Tesco didn't have any coffee beans at all."

He went out to pick up my sister today and I said, "Remember to pick up coffee beans, any kind and some milk on your way." I got a call from my sister half an hour ago and she said, "Those beans you want cost €16 not the €10 you gave him."

He's just back now so I get to see if he has any coffee beans, or even any milk. What are the chances Tesco were out of milk today?

The sh*t I saw on the roads today. Was cycling up a hill that is a one way road. It's quite narrow, it narrows at two points to help prevent cars driving down it. So there I am pushing up towards the top and I see a car doing a left reverse. Think 'ah ok, they're probably just turning out of the houses and will straighten up'

    How silly of me.

He kept reversing down, I'm getting to the narrowed part while he's going through it. "Sh*t will he be through by the time I need to go through"

"What the f*ck are you doing?!"
    "I'm picking up my wife"

What? Do you think thatmakes what you're doing OK?

Ah f**kballs of a day - fantastic lesson 1, then got walked, and of course had no paperwork, now have a meeting with my assessor tomorrow communicated to me through my mentor, just fairly annoyed about things. Feels like I take a step forward and then a step backwards - after having two fantastic, outstanding classes with my 9's

Since when did he email notifications change from "Reply to thread" to "New post in"???

Weather here is ridiculous - wind is howling, I'm warm and toasty in here, heater on, with work to do!

I had steak for lunch. I regret nothing. *burp*
Went to the first of a free 8 week group therapy session down in my local day hospital. It was interesting to say the least- I've got a workbook to utilize in a personalized recovery plan so that, heaven forbid, should I have another psychotic episode, my wishes, medication dosages, doctor names, triggers and warning signs are all documented in one handy folder so that my doctor and my folks know what to do in the event of an emergency.
I also got talking to a few other people with mental health issues so it was good to finally feel like I'm not alone in this.
Finally, after much procrastination, I managed to write down a rough synopisis of a complex character that has been floating around my head for the better part of a decade in various incarnations and for once, I think I'm finally happy with her development.
I still have a long way to go before I have enough material to form a novel but it looks hopeful. :)

I have eaten practically half a roast chicken. Crucial to help the system adjust to vast amounts of food in advance of Christmas, I feel.

Oh how I hate sending emails to lecturers. I never know how formal to be and invariably sound like an eejit. The added complication of it being in French makes the whole thing even more of a minefield!

If he doesn't like my paper proposal I'm so screwed, if I don't have a title then I can't do it this weekend and I really won't have a chance to get it done if I don't at least get a good chunk of it in the bag by Tuesday or so. Fingers crossed :/
