Fair play for staying off the cigarettes AY! If you've any tips, let me know so I can pass them on to my parents

It's such a lovely, sunny, crisp day today. Give me this kind of weather over our poxy summers anyday.

It's a foreign concept in this country. If you want to experience it, move to Spain for the months of May, June, July and August .

I have decided that if Sylvie shouts at me today, or tries to undermine me in any way, I'm going to give her a piece of my mind.

Watch me in about 3 hours, skulking out of the class with my tail between my legs :pac:

This comment really jumped out at me. Why is it assumed that slim people find it effortless to be so and have never had any experience of food issues?

    Agree 100%

I'm slim, but the reason being is I do A LOT of exercise, and I eat well. When I worked in Google and ate all of the junk food, I put on a stone. I lose condition just as quickly as I gain it if I don't keep on top of it. I stopped exercise for a few months and put on a stone, lost my tone. I went back to it a month ago and have dropped a half stone.

I know friends who have great figures, but they pay the price for it - no junk food, lots of exercise, etc.

I know plenty of slim people who work hard to maintain their shape. It's not always handed to them. Then on the flipside I know slim people who can eat rings around themselves and not gain an ounce. Like anything else in life, everyone is different.

I could be very slim if I wanted, but it would mean eating very rigidly and exercising like a demon. In some ways I admire people who have that self-discipline, but IMO life is too short for that. Once you're healthy, your shape should be second to that.

Slim or not, I don't think anyone has the right to judge to anyone else's weight, at least not out loud!

I just can't comprehend mean people who feel the need to say these things!!

I agree but if a larger person says something about a skinnier person it's not seen as 'nasty' as if it was a skinny person slagging an overweight person.

Yeah I could exercise a bit more but I'm ok, would ideally like to lose a stone but I'm too partial to treats to really be that dedicated :p
Enrolled in the different trx class tomorrow evening to make sure I don't miss a week

Favourite soup in the canteen today :D spicy tomato
    yum

I would see it as nasty for sure! I don't its ever appropriate to comment on someones appearance in a negative way, unless you're a close close person staging a much needed intervention!

I just want the whole world to be nice and friendly and tolerant and happy :pac:

Having all these millions of euros is so annoying when I don't have time to spend it all.

I know! But kindness starts at home so I'll keep being who I am and try harder to ignore all the meanies in the world :)

I cannot put on weight, no matter what I do. I could eat 7 takeaways a week and not put on a pound. I eat chocolate, crisps etc pretty much every day. I drink fizzy drinks and beer. I take protein shakes at night.

If I sat and did nothing, I wouldn't put on any weight. Nor would I lose any weight by exercising. My weight doesn't fluctuate at all, I've been the same weight for years! :D

It's very handy, but annoying at the same time. My BMI shows that I'm a bit underweight (6 foot 3 and 10 stone 4).

    Weights and stuff might help
Maybe you just don't eat enough considering all your cycling :)

It's annoying in the sense that I'd like to put on a stone but it's not going to happen.

On the other hand, I do cycle, and I am the exact same build as Bradley Wiggins (same height and weight). :D

If you have the sideburns like him you've gone way up in my estimation. So I'm just going to imagine you do.

I know someone who was trying to bulk up, protein shakes and that weren't working for him at all so he started drinking as much milk as he could manage. I think some protein shakes use milk, but they're a lot harder to gulp down. Milk on it's own is a lot easier and it's worked wonders for some people.

I can't imagine them with water, they're much nicer with milk

Eat bags of nuts, BAM weight

I've never had one. I can put on weight quite easily without having to resort to more hardcore options. I did mean drink the protein shake with milk, and milk on it's own when you're not having the protein shake.

Also olives are up there with nuts for bulking, and they provide things nuts don't so you can mix the two up. Unfortunately for me I thought olives were a lower calorie alternative to nuts until a dietician pointed out the error of my ways and no amount of, "But they're green!! :(" would work on her.

I had them for a while, while I was doing higher protein diet and as a help while I figured out what other foods I could switch to. Lost a good bit of weight and it's pretty much been off since. If I cop on enough to change my diet again properly I'd use them again. Nice with natural yogurt and nuts too

So hot and sweaty. I think I may melt. This weather you need to be in pretty summer dresses, not covering your knees and elbows :(

Met up with the boy at lunch. My God but he is going all sappy on me!
