Can any of you lovely people googling things find/suggest hotels in Galway/midlands-ish area that would have a golf course, nice food, and not crazy expensive, but even if pricey are worth it? Like Glasson but not Glasson :o If they had a spa it'd be great too! :)

It's probably a bit far away, but other than that it's exactly what I'm looking for, thanks!

Ballykisteen house is amazing, the parental units were at a wedding there and they loved it.

I can't stop yawning. Think I'm going to have to give in and go to bed.

And now the Sky+ is refusing to let me watch what I have recorded. I wanna catch up on Misfits dammit!

I think I'll go to bed instead. I'm wrecked anyway. Night everyone.

Yeah it's not, that's why I don't want to go there, it just fits the brief perfectly so didn't want it suggested! :)

It's 4 star, isn't it? Now, I'm far from fussy and a night away is a night away and they're few and far between in planet Lucyfur....but the gym is on the landing and the food wasn't mighty...but the room was beautiful with a very comfy bed. I thought the lay out of the hotel was very odd.

I can suggest a place us my neck of the woods but that's probably too far?

Is it 4 star?? Jeebus. Wineport Lodge just down the road is lovely, had my dinner there today :)

I'm trying to accommodate a 30 week pregnant woman in my inquiries about this, that's why I'd like it to be within travelling distance for her.

    Yeah, I'm 99% sure it's 4 star!

I had so much fun tonight. Finally discovered my inner Parisian (see withering glare) and managed to maintain my balance on a velib. It really will be so hard to leave this place, and these people.

That glare did, indeed, wither me to the very core.

I also like your glasses. They're nice. :)

WS - you look a bit like a girl I used to be friends with. She wasn't nice as it turns out but you're lovely. :)

I completed a large chunk of my presentation today.

    I'm pleased! :)

(But still resentful of the fact that I have to do a presentation.)

What was it on? I hate presentations. Hate them. Nearly cried during my first one. It was awful.

Lucy, did you ever acquire that lovely penguin watch? :)

    No:(

A penguin watch would be lovely.

    Hint hint.

You know ye all have to buy mods Christmas presents, yus?

It was on my research (which continues to sound more grown up than it is).

I rather like presenting, but putting them together is terribly stressful! At least I have good results and it's reasonably interesting/new. :)

What's your research? I love medical-y things. Tell me about research :D

I'm in a competition in January, a week long event of all presentations. I can't wait :pac:

Buuuuut we filmed practice this week and are watching it Wednesday night. I may need to sedate myself to get through that >_<

I have already got you a penguin egg!

You will have to sit on it religiously, but if all goes well, you'll get to be the mummy of one of these:

Oh dear god, no. Just no. I couldn't do that. I look like an alien. I hate pictures. Videos are just evil.
