Eh...I didn't really have the best view of the match in the pub and we recorded on Monday so didn't have time to watch it back. I didn't want to go shooting my mouth off without having something to back it up though my impression at the time was less than favourable.

well I didn''t think he was atrociously bad. The penalty count ended up being 50/50 and France certainly didn't deserve anything near parity with the English the way they were playing the breakdown. Made some very clear errors though as usual.

I didn't think he was awful, though I thought there was a definite lean towards the English in his rulings. The big one was the try and honestly I think it would be incredibly harsh to blame him for missing that one. He appeared to have trouble communicating with his ARs too, I heard him ask them for input a couple times and he seemed not to be able to hear them.

    Nah this one: :P
Happened last time out against England (0-6 at HT) and in the South Africa match in the autumn too.

Just looking back at the past 2 years of fixtures.
France (H) last score 32 mins
Scotland (A) last score 43 mins
England (H) last score 57 mins
Wales (A) last score 42 mins
Argentina (H) last score 72 mins
South Africa (H) last score 30 mins
    New Zealand (A) no score
New Zealand (A) last score 69 mins
New Zealand (A) last score 48 mins
England (A) last score 51 mins
Scotland (H) last score 76 mins
France (A) last score 37 mins
Italy (H) last score 78 mins
Wales (H) last score 67 mins

Now there is certainly something amiss when in so many matches we seem to stop scoring after 50 minutes.

I'll have you know I gathered those stats myself of my own volition. You can tell because I didn't bother my arse going back beyond the start of the season! :P
