Sorry about the late post this week everyone. Although this week's show is only 45 minutes long so hopefully you'll get a chance to listen before the second test tomorrow morning!
It's all about the Lions this week on Talking Rugby as they prepare for their second test with the Aussies.

Dave takes a break, so Munster fan Alan is joined by Kiwi Matt, English based Munster fan Eamonn and Connacht fan John.

Note: This show was recorded on Wednesday night, before the Lions/Oz lineups were announced.

    Coming up:

    0:35 - Lions 35-0 Melbourne Rebels

7:00 - Lions vs Australia 2nd Test Preview

29:00 - New Zealand whitewash France 3-0 in their series while South Africa win the Quadrangular Tournament.

38:00 - Stephen Ferris signs a short-term deal with Ulster while we say goodbye to France's Yannick Jauzion.

Great show guys, thanks for asking the question. Good to hear the guys share similar views as I do....means I'm not seeing a completely different game ;)

@Matt, who are you galivanting as now?

What do you make of ScreenNameGate?

Should Mako start or should he sub? (Consider the torture he'd be under in the scrum).

Croft, lineout extraordinaire or one trick pony? (What a trick though!)

Considering Faletau and Heaslip both performing well, and both having high levels of ability, are the concerns about "GattyBall" and "The Warburton Situation" valid? GattyBall with the Welsh Backrow (pretend Faletau= Heaslip) have struggled against the Wallabies several times in the last few years, are we banging heads aganst a brick wall here?

The Loss of POC, Parling's time to shine? And what do you do about the bench? Croft and Lydiate/SOB to bench behind the "Well Balanced GattyBackRow"?

Corbisiero, Jenkins, Healy - the loosehead curse, if Grant takes a knee in Training, Stevens or Tom Court?

Manu, can he be a bench option? If not, does he force himself ahead of Davies?

The lads didn't seem to answer your Qs Emmet, so at the risk of usurping Matt, Alan et al, here would be my responses (with the benefit of hindsight)

Can't answer Q1, you'll have to ask Matt, sorry
    Storm in teacup
    Sub
    More of a one-trick pony
    Lydiate, SOB, Faletau this weekend
Parling didn't shine, promote Evans, Parling on bench
    Stevens
    Manu bench, Roberts to start

    Matt, discuss Richie Gray

The bastard seemed to ignore the Q, cowardly IMO.
Gray is somewhat better than you think and not as good as previous posters on this forum had hoped.
