    Post split fixtures

RANGERS Scottish Premiership post-split fixtures have been announced today with the Gers finishing the season away to St Johnstone.

The first match of the split had already been confirmed with the Light Blues welcoming Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic to Ibrox on April 29th with a 12pm kick off. The Gers have faced Celtic three times on league duty this year, losing at Celtic Park in September and Ibrox in December, before Clint Hill scored a late equaliser away in the last game in March.

The Light Blues will then visit Partick Thistle on Sunday May 7th at 12:15, before hosting Hearts at Ibrox on Saturday May 13th at 12:15 and Aberdeen on Wednesday May 17th at 19:45.

The final league fixture of the season will see Pedro Caixinha’s men head to Perth to face St Johnstone on Sunday May 21st at 12:30.

Alan Archibald’s Partick Thislte who are in sixth position and this season became the fifteenth team to finish in the top six of the Premiership since the split was introduced in season 2000/01.

The Jags sealed their place in the top half of the table with a game to spare this season when they defeated Motherwell 1-0 at Firhill recently. Rangers have defeated Thislte twice this season, 2-0 at Ibrox in October last year and 2-1 away in November, with the sides set to meet at Ibrox this weekend.

St Johnstone, who are in the top six for the sixth time, are currently in fourth position in the Premiership, six points behind Caixinha’s men. It’s been a mixed bag of results against Tommy Wright’s men this year, with two 1-1 draws and a 3-2 win at Ibrox at the start of March.

Hearts, under the guidance of new manager Ian Cathro are currently in fifth position in the league on 44 points, five off St Johnstone. From the three games against Hearts this season, the Light Blues have won once, at home in December, but lost at Tynecastle twice.

Despite Derek McInnes’ men currently being nine points ahead of Pedro Caixinha’s Gers side, it’s Rangers who have had the best of the results from when the sides have gone head to head this term. The won 3-0 and 2-1 in the last two games, after losing the opening fixture of the campaign 2-1 at Pittodrie.

    POST-SPLIT FIXTURES:
Rangers v Celtic, Apr 29, 12:00 – Live on Sky Sports

Unless you're actually that thick that you believe the jokes about how he shows up at the lodge etc.

You've never seen it mentioned before on followfollow that Bobby Madden was a Rangers fan and season ticket holder even though you actually started a thread a while back entitled "Bobby Madden the Rangers fan and Season Ticket holder"

Lovely bit of play and Toral puts it away 2-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Please don't with that a lot more composed than we have been. Beerman Holt and Toral were my pick of the bunch today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    That was easy enough, comfortable.

    Beerman is great.

edit: Have to say, Holt has improved massively in his new role. Glad to see players being used in their normal positions.

A song? Never heard of it, ah well that makes some kind of sense though the banner and why it was displayed is very depressing

What the 50th anniversary of his death

What the 50th anniversary of his death

Ok so does every ex player receive this kind of tribute on their anniversary? We all know the reasoning behind this

Do you actually know what happened to English after the accident and he when he stopped playing. no not every player but a fair few same as Celtic fans do

Every ex-player does not get this kind of tribute at the club. He has his own special place in the history of our club and his talent is still recognized today. Take some time to read up about him. That incident destroyed his career.

Hard to know what to say about that. Shocking display, some awful mistakes and we got what we deserved from the game. Hope we see Dodoo starting for the rest of the season.
