Nah Paul obviously what you see as banter is different from myself. I don't see people taking my discussion with a Hearts fan and turning it into a dig at us for a reason I fail to see as funny as banter.
Over the years we have had some good banter between the threads but not for a long time have you never wondered why no one posts in here anymore

I'm sure you all will be posting more when your new club buys it way back to the premiership :pac:

Glad you brought that up, didn't seem like the Celtic fans could take that very well either.

And imo there's a difference between making some jokes every now and then and posting on a daily basis in a thread about your rivals.

    1. You aren't Celtic's rivals
    2. The slagging is as bad one way as it is the other.

Some of you need to untangle your undergarments from out your nether regions.

    Aye ok :pac:
How many Rangers fans go in the Celtic thread to make fun of you ? Probably just me after the semi-final or so, that's about it. As BBE said, several have already stopped posting her ebecause of the non-stop bull**** from the Celtic fans.

And if we aren't your rivals then why bother with the so-called winding up ? I didn't mean in a sporting way, that's pretty obvious.

If there's one set of fans who 'need to untangle their undergarments' it's you lot. The semi-final antics and claims of big bad refs are proof of that.

    Jeez, enough with the negativity.

When is the medal presentation anyway?

Moshni has signed a pre-contract with ES Tunis apparently.

Could have been a good player for us if he kept his concentration up. Probably a sign of the McCoist era.

edit: And rumour going around that McCulloch has signed a pre-contract with Killie.

That's one of the funniest things I've read on this thread.

Fair play to Rangers and the other clubs offering cut price tickets on the playoffs. I can understand if the likes of QotS and Hibs charging (QotS are I think) but teams in relegation playoffs have a brass neck to be cashing in on it.

And it's bound to piss off the SPFL which is a bonus :pac:

Not particularly of course you will look at it the way you do. Personally I and many others see it as a part of our history that these guys had a major part in. I don't like it and can understand why others feel the same. But I don't understand why some people are getting their knickers in a twist. For me it amounts to meh ****e painting time to move on

If you look closely you can see McCulloch is elbowing somebody in the face

The painting has been taken down already!

Why is McCoist still getting paid even though he resigned?

If he got fired I can see them maybe having to pay out his contract, but he quit

He never quit, he handed in a years notice.

He was on 12 months notice period when he quit his role as manager. Not sure why he's entitled to be compensated for the remainder of his contract. Dont understand how he has a legal entitlement in this situation tbh but he must have, otherwise why would any business entertain that situation.

It is a strange contract although it is no different to any employee with a notice period. My contract says I have to give 3 months notice so I give the 3 months notice and my company can do 3 things

    1. Let me work the notice
    2. Pay me 3 months in lieu of notice and I leave immediately
    3. Put me on gardening leave for 3 months

Rangers decided that 3rd option for McCoist and his notice period is 12 months.

He handed in his resignation which was accepted but he is currently serving his notice period.

It's an insane move from both sides no doubt aimed at bleeding more money from the club. McCoist has also tarnished his status among the fans for having the cheek to cash his massive paychecks every month for doing nothing, while he knows the club needs every penny it can get.

These are terms and conditions that the club negotiated and agreed to yes?

He handed in his 12 month notice. The club took the 3rd option of putting him on gardening leave as they were likely unable to afford to pay him the 12 months wages in 1 go... Fair to assume if they've needed to go cap in hand to big Mike to pay the monthly wages.
Ally probably could have done a deal for a percentage to get the immediate release but probably figured why bother as he had already been on a voluntary wage cut for the previous year or so (his gardening leave pay is at full rate) and it's not likely he'd be tripping over any job offers.

Rangers could not pay him his notice for him to leave immediately as they do not have that kind of money. They could not leave him in charge as he is useless which left the gardening leave option as the only viable one open. There is only 1 person bleeding more money from Rangers and that is McCoist. A bit like all those Rangers men who watched from the sidelines as Rangers imploded and they did not pay back their loans.

This really. He failed miserably at one of the easiest managerial jobs you'll get. The only panel he'll be overseeing is on a Question of Sport.

The club are currently investigating all the contracts made by the previous board to find anything illegal, including the ones with Ashley.

Ashley can moan all he wants, until this has been investigated the club can stick to the normal payment plan for the loans.

I also wouldn't be surprised if this was a move to try and get out of the club before the police investigation finds anything.

I doubt you'll find any illegal contracts and i doubt that they even looking for anything illegal. That is an exercise in trying to find technicalities to avoid paying out money.

It's about buying time until they figure a way out of the mess and try to blame Ashley for it conveniently forgetting that The Rangers were a party to everything that was signed.
