Some unreal skills and footwork by the SA fullback in the pool stages. Does size really matter?

That lad is Gio Aplon Mark II. Looks and runs like him

Do you say you'll be able to watch the next two Irish matches on Sky? I'm trying to remember last year, I think they had the first one but not the second one, right?

Is Leavy injured? Good to see JOD on the bench anyway, I'd like to see him play against one of the better teams.

Interesting to see Sweetnam and Wootton, I actually think this looks like the best backline in terms of attacking talent. We might miss Daly's strength going into contact though.

I see we've taken the famed two captain approach. Bold.

I wouldn't necessarily say Leavy is injured, we've got a wealth of talent in the backrow and Leavy has played every minute since coming off the bench after half an hour v Australia. Good to see Byrne get a run at hooker, been impressive when he's got the chance (as has the other hooker in fairness)

In addition to having 2 captains it would appear we have also failed to acknowledge the existence of the number 16

16 is there, just on the same line as the replacements :P

....as do Sky, with nothing on the red button. Damn! There must only be TV cameras in Nantes.

No sign of the game on tv,disaster!

Looks like it isn't on, that is seriously disappointing.

I think the only reason it was on last year was because they were up against England. I'm sure the game against Australia/Argentina will be televised.

  • Registered Users Posts: 448 ✭✭Gamayun

Looks like it isn't televised anywhere.

The TG4 website listings say both games being shown are from Stade de la Rabine, Vannes. Ireland are playing at Stade Henri Desgrange, La Roche-sur-Yon.

But they're playing France who are hosting the tournament, surely there'd be coverage of them. I wouldnt be surprised if TG4 listed the other game by mistake.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,759 ✭✭✭P.Walnuts

TG4 said on twiter at the weekend, no live footage being provided from French tv.

I'm clinging on to a tiny thread of hope alright, as The Herald says TG4 are showing the Irish game. But it's not looking good.

    EDIT: Well there it goes.

As far as I know, the Ire game is on at 7.15 this eve. But TG4 are showing the Eng game, so we're beggared anyway
