It works great I have the eztv app on my phone and I can send the torrent straight to the box to download. There is also a Transmission app so you send files from any site. I haven't noticed any lag at all I'm using Tech Guys image at the moment.

Use the Download menu in Plugins or just FTP the .ipk files to the /TMP folder, telnet to the box and type IPKG INSTALL xxxxxxx.ipk. This should work for most plugins. CoolTVGuide is linked to the EPG button

The image is setup to use DHCP automatically and is also set for using HDMI at 720p. Terrestrial channels may need to be rescanned depending on your geographical location.

FTP and Telnet - Username "root", Password "pkteam"
OSCam - http://box_ip:8888 - Username "root", Password "oscam"
OpenWebIf - http://box_ip (Default Port 80)
DreamBoxEdit paths - /etc/enigma2/

Newer revisions of the AA2 have a slightly different driver for the display on the front of the box. As a result on these newer boxes your display will show "Boot" all the time. When a fix becomes available I will update the image and post it on the forum.

the terrestrial image scan not picking up mux1 and mux2, it only picks one or the other

I gave it a quick go too .
When it booted up only the skin was displayed ,no tv picture which was odd.
I could access all the menus but could get no live video or even from recorded files.
Tried a few things but it was a skin issue ,went back to Pkt silver and all was fine.
I dont like that Sky skin at all ,not very nice to look at and full of bugs .

I couldnt get CrossEpg to work either ,wouldnt download the epg ,I think the tried and trusted 0.6.2 CrossEpg works best .

Ah I see I must try out your new image tomorrow so, the only thing with Transmission is you have to turn it on after every reboot, also if you want the files to download to your media folder you have to modify a config file its called settings.json

My USB is formatted to EXt3 for Enigma2 Amiko Alien box, how do I get my PC to recognise an EXT3 formatted USB, I want to get a recording off it to have on my PC.

You can leave it where it is attached to the AA and map the network drive in Windows if you are running the samba server plugin.

This is a really nice image, thanks Fresh Pots, would you have any idea why i cant FTP into the box? is the ftp password "pkteam" ? i dont have any issue with FTP on other images its strange.

Yeah password is pkteam, no reason why ftpshouldn't work, have you checked your ip address in settings is the same as the one your trying to login to?

yes ive done that, i cant figure it out. ill try a reboot and see how that goes.

Yeah seems to be a tuner issue of some sort but I can't access the menu to run a scan as the spinner keeps appearing?

Did you try a reboot? I had this issue the first time I booted into enigma2 after spark, a reboot fixed it.

Did crossEpg definitely not download or were you just waiting for a downloading screen? I ask because 0.8 downloads in the background and its working flawlessly for me.

If that still doesn't fix it maybe its your ftp client at fault. It may be worth deleting your ftp profile and setting it up again.

It started to download and the message disappeared after about 5 second.
The epg.dat file was changed but didnt load .
I'll have another look at it later .

Still no joy with latest image. Have tried a new copy, different HDDs, front and back, none and both, fat32 and ext. Same result. Gets as far as Sly boot logo, PKT SVN2864 scrolls across display once and thats it.

EDIT: tried my own Hyp4 build from scratch and it seems OK so far. Must be subtle variations in H/W or something

Don't remember off hand but what they are but you shouldn't need to change any port numbers. the username is root and password is openAR
