when they had this continous line that the guy was going round looking for genius kids to work in the baxter institute, he finds richards as a teen, so he found sue at an earlier point and adopted her.

    So... Needless confusion

well I don't know how the Four come together in the comics, but it might have been used to explain a younger fantastic four.

    Baffling theme.

Tim Blake Nelson, or his direction was the worst thing in the film, apart from Sue Storms ever changing hair

I watched the 2005 and 2007 films before this reboot, and they're much more fun and better films.

When everything else about a film, pre-production, post-production, director's actions, etc., is more interesting than the film itself, you've got a problem. The whole thing is bizarre, the origin story, the plot, the characters, the editing...so weird.

I got lost on IMDB reading about all the problems, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2503633/board/flat/248938989?p=1, fascinating stuff.
That was a great read :D

'Tommy Wiseau, director of the "so-bad-it's-good" cult movie The Room expresses interest in directing the sequel if it ever happens'

    WTF!?

Sounds like a clusterf***k with a lot of people involved.
Ultimately how much is a director at fault when something like this happens (granted Trank seems like a train wreck), surely the writers and people who approved the script have a big part to play.

I think a huge part of this is the producers/studio bigwigs. Trank, in fairness, can't be blamed for things like the cast only being hired a few weeks prior to shooting. At that stage, he was starting on the back foot. Not that this would necessarily absolve him of the crap he was responsible for but still.

Did anyone else find the last dialog scene laugh out loud funny? You could also see somebody standing out of frame writing witty dialog on the spot to get the film over with quickly. :D
