    Looks like SeanBeag will soon be the first person on the server with a nuclear reactor :p

    Just a reminder that they have to completely encased in reinforced stone at least 3 blocks thick, This includes walls, floors and celling of the enclosure. With a reinforced door to get in and add fuel/ take away depleted uranium

    Obsidian offers very little blast protection in tekkit (40 vs 6000 in Normal MC) so there is little point in making it with that.

    Add running water over the reactor as it adds additional cooling.

    Also please keep the reactors at Mark 1 because they will continue to generate power after you've logged off.

    e.g.

    If these steps are followed then the reactor will be as safe as possible.

    As nooby as this sounds does anyone have a step for step guide how to play on a tekkit server? I have the stuff downloaded but when I try to join it says I need minecraft forge

    When you say you have the stuff downloaded , what do you mean?

    Normally it'll be as easy as visiting this page selecting your OS (Windows or Mac)

    Once that launcher is installed, you select tekkit in the drop down box , sign in using your MC username and password and play the game.

    How far have you gotten?

    While the server is down, I vote to allow nukes, on two conditions:

    - The nuke is set off within a designated nuclear testing zone.
    - An admin is present to approve of the nuke.
