    Haha Oops.

I was out tech and retro shopping in South Korea and then went up to North Korea on a trip of Pyongyang and a few other places (with an official group as its the only real way).

Didn't think S.K. was that big a destination for retro shopping. I would imagine part of the appeal of buying something import only would be that it is Japanese.

That N.K. trip must have cost you an arm and a leg, I definitely need to do that while there still is a N.K. though!:pac:

Not so much a retro shopping destination but for tech gear its excellent as a lot of it never gets released outside of South Korea.
The trip up north wasn't exactly cheap all right but totally worth it. You must plan that well in advance as you need a Visa and have to jump through a few hoops to get in and there are loads of restrictions, rules and laws that you have to stick to. Having an Irish passport is a big help though.

What kind of tech are you referring to? All I can think of is smartphones that have TV aerials here.

Wasn't your visa alone for the N.K. trip like 2K? Got a link to the company you went through?

The tour operator will look after the visa and that sort of thing as long as you provide all the required info.

If you go don't make the same mistake as myself and another guy and head off on your own to get some pictures of "the real" north korea. You will be shot/jailed/have things put in you etc etc.

How much did the trip set you back if you don't mind me asking?

What kind of gadgetry did you pick up over here?

The North Korea part was about €3500 and the south Korea, well, I'm not sayin :)
I picked up various smart phones, tablets and some other gadgets while in Seoul for decent prices.

You went on a trip to North Korea? Amazing! I've always wanted to do that.

Did your minder pretend the Ryugyong Hotel didn't exist? :D

Didn't they just refurbish that into a telecommunication tower with a revolving restaurant? Although, knowing North Korea, only 7 people will probably use whatever service it provides.

Glad to see those developers from Bohemia Interactive out of prison and back with their families.

They brought us near it but not close enough so we could see inside it (it's apparently just a shell with very little done internally). He said it would be opening in the near future blah blah blah. Load a bull$hit really, we all know its empty :)

    34. Not too bad for someone who hasn't played Mega Drive in years.

    Yes:

Never has a game cover scream 'Don't play me!' so loudly.

I think this might be amongst the worst covers for a game actually worth playing:

    ico.jpg

**** slowdown, at least the PAL cover is appropriately elegant :pac:

41, some guesses, the rpg and sports ones. I'm not really sure why anyone would think a game with a screenshot with Batman in it would be anything other than...Batman?

Yeah, some games just scream, "Don't even open me, RUN FAR, RUN FAST!"

But this is my collections worst cover of something very good,
    img_popup_16.png

I present Mobile Lightforce 2, awful cover, some awful art in the intro but, turns out, it's really Shikigami no Shiro, which is pretty good stuff.

Mobile Lightforce has exactly the same cover art, formatted to a PS cover ratio and without the tell tale number 2 on the front.
Again, it is hiding something great too, Gunbird!
