Mille Miglia was far better, as was the sequel, although they weren't on the Neo Geo, despite looking like they were running on very similar hardware and sporting a near identical engine.
But they were a lot of fun with a great range of cars to drive.
    Made by Kaneko.

OI! Top secret that, ssssssssssssshhhhhhhhh. :p Joking ofc.

Nah I got the one Cidey linked, from AO or somewhere like that. Very cheap. The above posts got me thinking about it again actually. Cool game. Excellent sound effects out of it.

Fantastic game so it was. There was a cab in my local aswell and in another arcade close by there was a different Off Road Racer game where you could pick buggies also.

Damn it might have been Neo Drift out, still pretty sure it was World rally but now I'm hella confused :D Just remember thinking it was amazing looking.
    Gotta get playing these

Only ever had the pleasure of playing the Amiga version. Excellent game.

Agreed, Off Road is the absolute definition of arcadeyness

Anyone remember this, think it was a follow up to Super Spint.

That was in the local years ago :D awesome times. Too young to drink but old enough to head in and spend all day spinning wheels like a boss.

Outland? Badlands? Some kind of top down futuristic apocalyptic dystopian racer. Kind of like off road.
Off road on my hand me down NES got serious playing, don't know where it ranges in the ports of the game but I loved it.

Lol! Monkeykube got there first. Loved that game too.

Why not get a decent and cheap Sony Trinitron with remote off Adverts? Few decent ones here: http://www.adverts.ie/for-sale/q_sony+trinitron/

The flat screen silver 21" ones look like the one I got. Great tv and easy to rotate if you want to play proper shmups. :P

I don't have room for a TV like that, it needs to be mounted on a wall to fit in my room.

I can also confirm that desoldering pin 8 doesn't give a composite signal. It gives a sweet **** all signal.

And you call yourself a true retro gamer? 21" takes up bugger all space, if need be sleep on the floor man. :p

Ah fair enough, worth a mention though, a cheap small Trini is a no brainer for CRT scan line perfection.

I have three spare bedrooms and a pantry. All have plenty of space for 21 inch Trinitrons.

I accept rent in cash or videogames :pac:

I'll take a pic on the way to work tomorrow that will bring a tear to any true retro gamers eye. A house near the entrance to my estate has dumped a large trini(I think) and some other large crt out in the front garden along with some doors/furniture etc(renovations I guess).

I'd have nabbed the CRT's but they had already been rained on for hours on Sunday so I genuinely felt bad that they went to waste :(

Lol for a second I thought it said "Rage sux!" on the wall. What with his Facebook ban and all. :pac:

Would two copies of Army Men cover me for an overnight stay? I am envious of your spare rooms, I think lack of space is the scourge of game collectors the world over.

Anyone got a job for a chemistry researcher or a very, very junior java programmer that needs a place for his retro games?

Unfortunately it's a family rented house so I haven't a clue how much longer I can hang on here before they kick me out/sell it. The spare rooms just stay unused. :( Girlfriend keeps trying to convince me to rent one out!

If I knew I was going to be here a few more years 100% I'd definitely be making them a bit more interesting.

The house does have two sitting rooms though, so plenty of space for an arcade machine/big ass Trinitron with loads of consoles set up :)

I'm fcuked if I ever buy a small house!!
