Here are today's three player values: Eden Hazard (CHE) £9.5m, Pavel Pogrebnyak (RDG) £5m and Park Ji-Sung (QPR) £6m. #fpl

Pog for 5m seems absurdly good value. Linkin Park Ji-Sung for 6m could be good too - you'll imagine he'll be a guaranteed starter at QPR. Not so sure on Hazard - i'm more thinking of the style of play at Chelsea under Di Matteo, not the player

Pog is a good value option up front if your not going with 3 top price tag players.

I think Rooney to start with and possibly Torres. Torres has to be due a run of form. Depending on transfers Suarez may be a points demon under Rodgers and should have a relatively low fee also after last years campaign

Pog for only 5m seems strange to me, but I won't complain.

Even at that cheap price though, with strikers being such important players, I think I'll be looking elsewhere to start off.

No such phenomenon exists much as we all persist to believe in it!

Kagawa and Sigurdsson are getting valued tomorrow. I'm not expecting cheap prices for either of them but I'm definitely looking out for them. If Siggy is cheap-ish and manages to nail a spot some time during the season then I may well have to bring him in.

Is it after the 3rd gw again this year for the international break?

World Cup Qualifiers start on the 7th of September, that will be 4 weeks into the new season, so week 4 in the epl is on the 15/16/17 instead, 8 weeks into the new season and there's another international break for World Cup Qualifiers so week 8 is on the 20/21 instead.......

From the Premier League twitter page:
Here are today's three player values: Gylfi Sigurdsson (TOT) £9m, Shinji Kagawa (MUN) £8.5m and Papiss Cisse (NEW) £9.5m. ‪#fpl‬

Sh*t they're expensive. Especially Siggy. He'll hardly be starting imo.

I think I'll be looking more at Kagawa. Could be a good option and 8.5 isn't really that expensive for a midfielder from United.

I think the reason he is so cheap is because Reading don't score many goals. but if he is the lone striker maybe he could do what he done at fulham when he first came cus if he does he is very good value.

As for Hazard, if he can keep a starting place I think he will produce the goods but he is expensive

Siggurdson doesnt look like value at that price

I never said he looked like good value .

I wasnt suggesting that you did just my opinion that he isnt value.

any interest in putting together some fantasy premier league codes that people should join, leagues like the Last Word and such?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,844 ✭✭✭carlcon

Wow, I need to start catching up on transfer news. I had no idea Pog made the very strange move to Reading. NOW I understand his cheapness.

Right. I was thinking of him but I doubt I'll go for him now. Can't see him breaking into the team unless VDV leaves.

If Siggy stayed with Swansea then I'd have gone for him. He's probably be about 2 mill less as well.

I'd be interested. I joined the Coppers one last year. Came 4th I think. Not a word from them though.

Came 4/5th in one for Beat 102/103 in the South East. Not a word from them either.

Most of the radio stations set up one and like the majority they lose interest after September.

Kagawa at 8.5 is going to be an absolute steal. Rediculous that Siggy priced higher!

    Cisse is pretty spot on.

Kagawa to be 10m before Christmas. Starting 2013/2014 season at 11.5m

I'm hoping that no one in my leagues gets Kagawa. Could steal a few points in the first few weeks with him.

It's normally like that and can't imagine it will be changed. It's always loads of fun chopping and changing a million times.

Chelsea went for the glamour ties. Could answer the mata/hazard choice.
