Just wondering i know this might seem like a weird question  would we be aloud try some of the rebuildable atty's depending on the lad's permission? if we brought our own drip tips or do some atomiser's have only specific drip tips ? Just for a newbie like myself to see what all the hype is about :)

I know that Charliej purchased about 100 drip tips himself especially for Vapefest so that people can try out his rebuildable genesis attys at the workshop :)

Very easy, the train goes from Dublin Heuston to Portlaoise and Abbeyleix is only 10 minutes by bus or taxi from Portlaoise I have attached the bus timetable from Portlaoise to Abbeyleix but you would need to check times of trains on http://www.irishrail.ie/ to match the bus times.

There a thread there somewhere for car pooling too if you find it and may find someone coming from Dublin to share with.

Ah thank you so much! Be a bit more complicated as I'm in Mullingar but will try to find a way.

Hopefully 200 - 300, maybe more, its hard to tell but the feedback I'm getting is fairly good. I think a lot of people will just come for the day session.

If Sir Digby (your contact in Laois from last week) or anyone around Laois could grab a copy of the Laois People Free Magazine tomorrow or over the weekend and scan the page with the Vapefest Ireland feature in it and email it to vapefestireland@gmail.com it would be very much appreciated :) as I'm going to UK Vapefest at 7am in the morning and wont be able to get it myself.

Nothing wrong with that at all, all going well you'll still be looking at 30 or 40 hanging around for the night.

    How'd vapefest go newmark?

    Get anything new and shiny?

  • Registered Users Posts: 984 ✭✭✭newmark

I survived UK Vapefest just about and what an amazing weekend it was. I even won a prize in the raffle. It was very well organised was quite simply Vaping Heaven imo.

The UK organisers also kindly donated their raffle drum to us for Irish Vapefest which I thought was very nice of them.

This is a link to a youtube video on UK Vapefest called Perfect Day put together by the video reviewer Marco Van Basten and it gives a flavour of the day.

Roll on the 15th September its getting closer :D

I bought the Innokin I-taste kit. I wanted a smaller VV device and got it at a good price. Got a nice SS drip tip too and another couple of small bits and won the tank package as a prize in the raffle.

I had to lug home some juice that I collected from T-juice one of the prizes for Irish Vapefest and that along with about 15 bottles that I had myself attracted attention to me going through security at Birmingham Airport as I had no checked in baggage and was carrying on everything. My bag was searched and swabbed for explosives and the whole lot. They were holding this big clear plastic bag of juice up in the air along with my throathit mod and provari and examining them asking questions to each other with lots of people looking on but I was left go through ok after about a 5 minute enquiry and examination of my contents. I was sweating it and relieved in the end because I was getting worried they were going to try confiscate my stuff!

Oh and to top it all of I had a sneaky vape walking over to the plane and an eagle eyed security guy ran over to me and told me show me what you have there and examined the provari and told me put it and keep it away. That was all after drinking about 30 pints over a couple of days and while I was in the middle of the worst hangover I've had in years. :D

The Pinkvaper (Cass) has kindly agreed to host the Monster Raffle on the day and there will be 50 prizes in total, as if there were any more prizes the raffle would take too long to complete :)

The raffle ticket cost has been changed from €1 to €2 each or 5 for €10 in order to lessen the chances of someone winning twice so that we get as many winners as possible. This also keeps costs down to run the event and saves the environment by using less paper.

When someone's main raffle ticket number is drawn they will then pick a random ticket number between 1 and 50 from a separate raffle drum and they will win the prize corresponding to the number that they pick.

If a number is called and no one has claimed it after a few announcements another number will be drawn instead.

Further information on prizes, pictures, what's included in various kits etc can be seen on Vapefest ireland website here

Any merchandise received from supporting vendors that's not included in the raffle prizes will be given out as freebies to the first 70 attendees to arrive on the day by giving one freebie per person at the registration desk. Please see the Freebies section below for more information on this.

The following is the full list of prizes to date but it is subject to change before the day as there may be other prizes added.

I mentioned to newmark a while ago that sadly I won't make this as it sounds fantastic. I will be sitting by the pool in france on my hols but it says a lot about vapefest that I regret being away, almost :) Anyway I hope everything goes well and everyone has fun.

Unless my mathematical skills are failing thats over 5 liters of e-liquid at the juice bar alone!

    Or

Enough juice to keep me going for 3 years!

with all the juices being made available at the juice bar what would be the best set up to use for the day?
