I thought Velvet Sky was with Sabin? When did that end?

    Velvet gets around anyway :pac:

A while ago. They sniped at each other on Twitter once.

Before or after they split in TNA? Would be ironic if that was the cause after keeping it out of the spotlight for so long :pac:

Has to be the six sides.

As for why it went, Hogan and Bischoff. They wanted their own company without the headache of trying to get one off the ground.

The six sided ring wont solve any problems. Before it made them stand out, it wont have the same effect it once had. There are far bigger problems with TNA that need addressing. That being said I enjoyed Slammiversary.

Id love to see a Machismo Fan Impact ala BWE. Id say TNA given the talent they have could easily turn things around.

    More of the same, Ted.

Who cares! This is the complete wrong direction to go in. Highlighting a past his prime wrestler and an awful figure head character. Both should be sent out to pasture

Plus yet another World title match for no reason!

4 sides? 6 sides? Ba! Replace the ring with a stage with two podiums on them.

Fun Fact: There have been more World title defenses on iMPACT! in the last three months than there were in the first three years of the show.

The constant title defences is pretty lazy booking. It's fine every now and then, but it seems to happen almost every week now.

If the idea was to have Young defend almost every week, they should have given him the TV title, especially since he was feuding with the current champion for so long. Having the World title defended so often on free tv makes the PPV defences mean nothing.

Watched Slammiversary just there now. Really enjoyed it. Skipped women match and Jeff Hardy stuff other wise all good. Great crowd. Hopefully sign impact will pick up.

Star ratings are SRS business obviously.

Do you think Meltzer has lost the plot on the star rating of the show opener:
Sanada vs. Manik vs. Tiger Uno vs. Crazzy Steve vs. Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards - ***3/4
Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Lashley - ***
    Willow vs. Magnus - **1/2
Kenny King vs. Austin Aries - ***1/4
Von Erich Bros. vs. Zema Ion & Jessie Godderz - *1/2
Angelina Love vs. Gail Kim - *
    Bully Ray vs. EC3 - ***1/4
James Storm vs. Ken Anderson - *1/2
Eric Young vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Austin Aries - ***1/2

He seems to tack on an extra star for every Ladder match.

Slammiversary had gotten a lot of good mentions so I considered giving it another shot. Then I heard what happened at the end of Impact.

    Interest gone again.

Better crowd made the show more bearable compared to the last couple of months but it's still the same stuff.

Too much MVP. Not enough wrestling.

Step 1- Hear good slammiversary report
Step 2- Seek out the show
    Step 3- See iMPACT spoiler
Step 4- back away from computer

Haven't heard the Impact spoilers. Curious to see how bad the end was. Though I did see mention of a return so there's that to look forward to.

Edit: Ah, so that's the ending! Yeah it sucks.

On paper, it isn't bad and it makes sense for the most part, but I have zero interest in it.

I'm intentionally not saying what happened so people can watch it without having their mind made up before hand.

The iMPACT! spoilers from last night looked to have less MVP stuff and no Dixie in front of the live crowd at least. It also had the
return of Rhino, Aries winning the X-title, Kim winning the KO title and Jeff Hardy back to working as himself.

Probably Raven or Justin Credible or something.

I think it's more a mid-00's WWE mid carder kick they're on lately so maybe Heidenreich or Snitsky.

    So just the Lashley/Hardy match?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

It would appear so. That also spoils their TV. He'll earn that title match on iMPACT! on the 10th of July.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Did they actually say big announcement or just announcement? I don't see anything big about that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

They said BIG. Even in capital letters. They say there's another one Monday at 12am.
