best thing for keeping a side skirt on lads? would tigerseal take the paint away if i ever wanted to remove it?

You would be better off using 3M double-sided foam tape. Anything like glue will either stay on the back of the skirt or on the body of the car and will be a nightmare to get off.

    :eek:I missed a post about a Skyline:eek::P

I prefer R34 saloons with the factory option Nismo lip kit.

Personally, I'd prefer an Autech Stagea :) I WILL own one at some point.

    The new one:

That's actually pretty damn tasty. But even the older ones keep their price fairly well. They're rare as feck.

I would say so. I never heard about them until you mentioned it there nor have I ever seen one until I googled it!

The Stagea is a well kept secret. The Autech one is basically the standard Stagea with the GT-R drivetrain shoehorned into it (when we're talking R32, R33 Skylines). Normal Stageas only came in 2l n/a and 2.5 l turbo, both RWD. Essentially GT or GTST. But the Autech one is the GT-R equivalent with all that comes with that.

And because of it's slightly different looks to the normal Skylines, people don't realise that it is the estate of Skylines.

Nissan started building the Stageas to compete with the Legacy Estates.

It's usually available from any motor factors. When you have the skirt stuck on, apply heat from a hairdryer (or heat gun if you have one) and try to get it to hit the tape if you can. This strengthens the bond of the adhesive.

Marlow - why call it Autech and not Nissan? Again for covert reasons? When I saw what you were talking about, I was sure it was a Japanese manufacturer like Mitsuoka!

It's a Nissan Stagea Autech. Autech is a very renowned Nissan tuner. Nissan didn't do a GT-R version themselves of the Stagea.

I used to love a nice blast around in my Canary yellow 4WD Nismo Stagea. The weight distribution was lovely for some Estate sliding. :D

Still prefer the Saloons though, before a certain Avant fan pipes up. :P

Doom/Duke etc... I played also, but I much preferred console gaming back then for the Multiplayer element, and still do actually. ISS64, Mario Kart, Goldeneye and then ISS Pro Evolution and Gran Turismo 1/2 were teenage years well spent while drinking with the lads. :)

Ah grand turismo, i just remember tuning the hell out of a GTO twin turbo and being able to get 928hp out of it.

Its not so much shoehorned in...the Skyline and stagea are exactly the same car under the bodies so any skyline engine and drivetrain can go into any stagea.

The same is also true of the latest models which use the skyline/350z etc platform and 3.5/3.7L engines.

You're taking the term "shoehorned" too serious. If you read my previous posts, I made it clear, that the Stagea and Skylines only differ by name and a bit from the looks.

But as mentioned before, Nissan didn't bother with the GT-R drivetrain in the Stageas. You had to go down the Autech route for that.

Escudo Pikes Peak Edition. Could get 1700hp out if it :D Was damn near impossible to steer, but it didn't matter when you could do 450Km/h on most straights.

i was about 10 playing that, my brother would enter into a free for all 200lap endurance race for a load of credits, ask me did i wanna play (i was delighted of course and thought he was doing me a favour) he'd feck off then and leave me bored playing it for hours. didnt matter that i crashed at nearly every corner, the speed of it meant i lapped everyone multiple times anyway :D
