Oh good coilovers will be awesome but very stiff. Lowering springs and shocks shouldn't stiffen the car *that* much tbh

well i always have my standard shock and spring setup here to fall back on.

i reckon im going to try them outanyway and sell my springs for a few quid on the owners club. and if it all goes tits up sell the coilovers too :pac:

Speaking of coilovers and springs, thinking of lowering the gti atm. Saw somewhere that would be better to get h&r springs than cheaper coilovers? And could I live with it on bumpy roads?

Are Nissans a part of your "portfolio" so to speak, I'm guessing from the username!

They are more a personal preferance of mine. I had a few import Nissans and used to do a lot of work on performace Nissans at home.

I never worked for Nissan though.

i have eibach pro kit on mine and they are fine. pretty stiff but i have profile 35 tyres on my alloys too so i imagine it'd feel nicer on your gti

Unless you plan on putting the car on the track go with the cup kit. The cheaper coilovers like ksports, jom etc etc won't last pissing time and don't hold up well under hard driving.

    I am, for my sins.
I have been qualified just shy of 10 years now, spent the first 8 in an independant service center gaining a wide range of experience with most cars however Japanese vehicles and Nissan especially are my particular area of interest.
I now have my own workshop dealing mostly with imported high performance nissans with everything available from Japanese spec diagnostics right through to full high spec engine builds as well as diagnostics and service/repairs to all makes.

I am active on many other car specific forums and am happy to give any help and advice I can.

Currently qualified to level 3 diagnostic technician level with numerous specific manufacturer cetifications in various area's....including tyres.

    Me confused.

I thought you worked in Atlas?

LM - My understanding of it is that his day job is with Atlas and his bit on the side is his own workshop at home working on Nissans.

Have you got all my posts filed away or something?:P

You've plucked that quote about my own workshop from over two years ago methinks.

I do have my own workshop at home but I don't do much at home these days. An old boss of mine works in Atlas and asked me to come and work for him a almost exactly two years ago...so here I am.

Not sure whether it's my bulbs or fused but there's no light coming from behind my dash, anyone know how to check the fuses or pop it open?

Will be fairly obvious if it's the fuse. You can actually see through the plastic on the fuses to the element that breaks. So if you see the element broken, it's the fuse.

Cheers lads, now what are the bets it's just the dimmer switch. :D

Excuse the ignorance but is that a fancy description of a mechanic or is it a different separate qualification obtained after qualifying as a mechanic?

This picture alone shows why you need a spoiler.

It's arse looks bulbous without the spoiler to even it out and make the boot seem normal sized. It looks nearly like a picnic table top without it.
