Well here's my latest tattoo. Done by Cris Gherman on friday. It took 5 hours to do.
Ive just been trying to link the image from his facebook page. My laptop is shagged and I only have my phone to use so its been awkward. I just had to rob the image.

    Seems its HUGE. Sorry

    Sooo jealous, love his work.

Which tattoo are you enquiring about? If its the last one posted up he says Cris Gherman ;).

Jaysis I thought I replied earlier..... ill post up a colour photo in a couple of days ;)

I chose a raven for a few reasons
I've always like the image of a raven. Big powerful, intellegent fecking birds.
My surname is Byrne, ( desendants of Bran meaning raven), I also have the Byrne family motto 'Certavi et vici' tattooed on my forearm
I just think ravens and raven imagery look cool.

If that comment asking who was the artist was to me, it was Cris Gherman ( as Marty said). You can contact him through his website or facebook page BUT he's moving to New York in April ( to work in Last Rites tattoo) so you may want to get your skates on.....

Cool, I figured it was most likely a name thing.

My surname is Corbett, another raven heavy surname.

Right, I'm being impatient and uploading a photo now even though it's still bruised and angry looking. Seo é! The start of my Alice half sleeve. Couldn't get all of it in the photo but I'll be uploading another when it's healed! :D

Heya, it was Ross Nagle in Allstar Ink in Limerick. Not his usual style of tattooing though!

Ross specializes in old school/ traditional style of tattooing but he can do anything you throw at him! very versatile artist!! and always great work!

Went in to get my sleeve finished today with a Japanese Dragon covering my whole fore-arm! (front and back) my artist had drawn up a design but didnt know i had a small tattoo on my arm already that i didnt want to cover! so a half hour of quick thinking, an hour or so of free hand stenciling and we where off! unfortunately due to the upset at the start we ran out of time and didnt get to finish! but should only take approx 2 hrs to be finished next time! here's a few pics! sorry about the quality, awkward spot to try photograph yourself haha

Done yesterday by Shane in Mongoose Ink in Galway. Seven hours of hell but glad I managed to sit through it, delighted with the result!

SEVEN HOURS. WTF. I'm guessing you were paying by the hour !!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,744 ✭✭✭raze_them_all_

Yeah gotta agree that to me would be more like a 3 hour job 7 is taking the piss

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,365 ✭✭✭baldshin

Yup seven hours, and nope not paying by the hour. No idea why it took so long but I managed to sit and glad I did.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,744 ✭✭✭raze_them_all_

mind us asking how much you paid? Because there is no way in my opinion that should of lasted 7 hours, hell both my knees/elbows were 7 hours combined

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,365 ✭✭✭baldshin

Got vouchers from the family for Christmas for €225 and didn't have to pay a cent more. Price is about right I think for something of that size.

Her's a better pic of mine from yesterday that the artist took himself :)

Pawel, skin city, 5 hours, first tattoo.

Skin city are true professionals to deal with, especially as a newcomer to the scene.
