I never knew the Ford had a VW engine in them, only thought they shared the body.

Wow Barry Barry that Marea is taxed and NCT til MAY
so if you drove it til June or pushed it til July and got 200 euro scrap value it makes 6months legal motoring for 295 plus insurance before haggling so,maybe 200 euro fully legal for 6 months

    Bangernomics winner methinks

    had to,be a fiat....feck the untaxed 7 series BMW

What are you saying? That that's what the 99 one will look like when its ready for scrap next year? :p

The Cork one is way more tidy looking, Kerry one looks rough. Could be all superficial stuff. I'd drive the Cork one actually. A blast from my Bravo past :D But I doubt it will be around when the current bus needs replacing.

I'll preface this by stating I'm certain there's a massive catch somewhere (or he's lying). But taking the ad at face value..

    00 S-Type Jaaaag 3.0v6

    NCT 05/13 Tax 10/13

    €100 :D

Sure it'd be worth twice or three times that in scrap...

And a hell of a lot more in parts..

The ad says "200 + what it would cost you to tax it".

The 100euro figure is just more numptiness in dondedeal land. I ALWAYS set a min price when I search, just to avoid the langers who can't/won't specify an actual price.

From the same advert "200 plus what it would cost you to tax"

Methinks the asking price is closer to 2k

At least someone in here is paying attention :)

Still 200 + cost of tax is a bargain. Drive until tax is up and scrap for your 200 back

    = zero depreciation motoring

    You sure that's it?
I read it as he wants €200 plus what it would cost to tax ie. the guts of €2000. You then get the car and have to tax it.

Really can't see him selling the car for 200 quid like. Especially since it's taxed until October next year!

Now we're talking. Given that the 10 months tax thats on it is worth the best part of €1200, it's still not too bad. NCT up in May though, could be a costly job to get through..

Exactly, a novel approach for him might be to put the actual price hes looking for the car down in the ad, everybody knows whats what.....sorted. I don't see any point being such a f**king twat about it...
