I see "Sasha" off Natasha. :o

Never heard Natasha being called Sasha. Alexander and Alexandra on the other hand yes, they've always been called Sasha. Unless they insisted otherwise.

Neasa (pronounced the same as NASA) is an Irish name. She was the mother of a great king of Ulster, originally called Assa, but altered in use. Around a lot longer than a space group.

Apologies for the misspelling and thank you for the back up story.
I still don't like the name though. The same goes for Fionnuala (no offence to any ladies carrying the name). I used to live beside a family that had the cutest little girl and the name just didn't suit her at all.

I know three siblings named Athol, Carlos and Arlette.
Life must have been tough in Bally-go-Backwards, Co.Tipperary in the 1970s.
(I presume they were all difficult births for a mother to inflict such brutal names)...

Isn't Natasha a pet name in itself for Natalya?

Saw a name on the work email distribution list, lads first name was "Godknows"...was in Asia. I think they have more Asian names which they don't use in work, but pick Anglicised names for their call centre roles.

"Hello, Godknows here, how can I help you...."

I was on the Luas yesterday and 2 girls were discussing baby names.
One of them said if it was a boy she liked the name Fallatio because it was very Italian sounding :eek::eek:
