They'll have to pay the late fee and interest now.

Lets say the remainder still refuse to pay, will they be brought in front of the courts, every single one of them?

alastair I don't appreciate your condescending tone. You sound exactly like Alan Shatter and Phil Hogan.

I know they need to cut the deficit. And I agree with the house tax when it eventually comes in in 2013-2014 as long as the money is actually spent on local services and not simply used to pay down a debt levelled on us by FFs decision to privatise Anglo.

That being said I first want to see waste eliminated in the public sector and a smaller government. You maybe happy with waste of tax payers money but the vast majority of us are not.

Don't bother responding to my posts any further. If I don't like listening to shatter and hogan, well I'm sure you get the picture.

They need the money - and much more. They'll chase it to the ends of the earth (allowing for typical efficiencies).

So the majority of people havent paid.

Epic fail for the goverment! What happens from here?

What will happen if they also get a NO vote in the Referendum ? General Election i'd say.

Let's put this to bed - you'll have to pay up one way or another - hoping that enough volume of people will be prepared to go to court is only going to lead to disappointment. The state will either bring people before the court or ensure the debt (with tasty penalties) will be anchored to the property, so it can't be sold or transferred without payment. There's no hiding from the obligation to pay up. Your gaff is hard to disguise.

Not sure really. The fees will add up and up. If the plan is to bring in a different charge next year then I'm sure it will contain information about bringing non-payers to court.

If the no side are stupid scum, then there is a lot of stupid scum, we're in the majority
He said the No Protesters not the No side.
The no side are(at least on boards eg Ghandee, Tayto etc) reasonable and often good humoured.
I agree those who attacked the man because he looked like Big Phil are scum, but then again he is probably lucky he wasn't kneecapped, they haven't gone away you know!

Nice attempt to put words in my mouth. Best not to respond alright - it's not working out well so far.

    Ireland.

The only country in the world where the majority are seen as the minority.

    The people have spoken.

60% rejected this scam, expect an extension announced, followed by a u-turn, Tax abandoned.

thats not strictly correct. I refused to pay the water rates about 10/15 years ago? there was a mass boycott of that too and it was eventually abandoned.

so there is "previous" when it comes to backtracking.
