Nope, and we've stopped moving it in and out of the garage because the noise got much worse and I was afraid it was going to spill its guts all over the floor:eek:

Where did you get the partworns? I used Tyreland in Glasnevin before and found them fairly good.

Place beside Wesward Precision Tuning, Enfield Co. Meath. The fellow that owns it will only import premium brands - Dunlops, Michelin, Verdstien ect ect and will find as many as the one type.

What scary stories can you report about auto, diesel 75s or ZTs?

    Very nice car though

Figured a rover with a 320d engine would be a safer bet? :pac:

A 320d engine but without all the bits that fail on a 320d.

Says a lot when Rover get a BMW engine and then change all the unreliable bits:eek:

First car recommended to ya was a 320d coupe and you said no way, same with any VAG, then you went looking at GTi's and 320's.

    Man I give up!

No idea tbh, someone from the Irish film counsel was on earlier looking for permission, no idea how they came to pick our place.

Thats mad they must have been checking out places and yours was top of the list! Will it still be business as usual then? Be hard to carry on as normal with all that commotion going on around the place.

I've given a friend in the trade in the UK a chance to source a car. I'll know more at the weekend hopefully. He is an MGR enthusiast and has checked a lot of cars out this week and in his own words "the market is full of overpriced shyte"

I'm looking for an auto diesel 75 or ZT :)

Not everyone's cup of tea but something I like

Auto diesel Rover; cutting edge in the 70s, 70 year old man's car in the new millennium....

Thankfully I've never owned an Audi (or other VAG mobile). I like the 75, my dad had one as his second last car. He loved it (and he liked cars, having sought out and bought his father's car from 1961). It's the auto and diesel bits that make me thing your are/becoming a young fogey!!!

That's not the image you want if you want the admiration of the girl students!

I can only assume that "Turdo" is a Freudian slip.

Diesel is due to the miles and auto is because the clutch is a potential weak point on a 75.

I'm removing the potential for breakdowns as much as I can :)

Not gonna go down the Alfa route then John? *sad face

Anyone see that delicious 2009 Ti 159 for sale at the moment?

I came close but I'm not the kind of person who likes constantly fixing niggly faults. I'd prefer save my Alfa experience until I can afford to run it correctly

You should have just kept the Marina

That's a fair point, get a proper V6 when you can. Would a Rover 75 diesel auto not have many niggling little faults I wonder?

Not really. Plus I like my Rovers and old BL stuff. I've always wanted one too. Best car I ever owned was an SD1 2600
