How will this blimp work for the pre-orders and the non pre-orders? Will there be a code or something in the box? When I preordered with GameStop te guy never mentioned anything to me about a blimp.

The blimp will be redeemed from a special code that will come packaged inside the “GTA 5” box....This means all early copies of “Grand Theft Auto V” might have the blimp code inside regardless whether players pre-order the title or now. Rather, pre-ordering is the only means that fans can guarantee that they receive a copy that comes with the code inside.

Have R* completely ruled out GTA V for next gen consoles?

My PS3 broke a few weeks ago, and I have a PS4 preordered, but I really want to get GTA V but it would be worthless getting another PS3

As far as I know, there has been no mention of a next gen release. Definitely wont be a launch title so you'll be waiting ages for a port at best.

I'm sure they wouldn't ignore the new consoles. You'll probably be in the same boat as PC users, it'll come out, eventually, fingers crossed.

If we look to GTA's past, there has always been ports. GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas for example took a while to hit the original xbox. But there was money to be made by releasing them on that format so Rockstar did so.

Sure they even released vice city stories/liberty stories on the ps2. So if you think from a business stand point there has to be a next gen gta5 port. As even gta4 is still selling 5 years on (as the current gen has still been going on)

It'll come out on PS4, no doubt. But I doubt it'll be a special PS4 version with super-duper next-gen graphics. They'll port it for its third or fifth year anniversary and milk us all for a second purchase like they did with the last generation's games this gen.

I wouldn't bank on it making an appearance on the PS4 or the One in the next couple of years, IMO.

IMO, they'll release it around the same time as the PC. They won't tell you this until a month before it comes out on the PC, so everyone and their dog buys it for this generation of consoles.

Guys, don't be getting your hopes up.

San Andreas never made it to 360 or PS3 on a physical disc. Sure, they can be got on Xbox Live and PSN (which i have bought ), but that's no guarantee that GTA V will hit the marketplace on the new machines for a few years yet!

San Andreas hit Xbox live marketplace in November 2008 and didn't hit the PSN until December 2012.

Just buy it for 360 or PS3 :pac:

Nope. Nothing in GTAV is anywhere related as both are set in their own GTA universe.

I really don't want to believe that tbh. I mean they had Lazlow talk about his days on Chatterbox in GTA IV, which means that there was a reference to the old games. But I don't think Franklin is related to CJ.

Apart Lazlow (who plays a version of himself in all the games so he has to stay as the same character) and a few easter eggs, there's no connection. Biggest reminder that they're in different universes is the cities themselves. Liberty City in GTA3 and GTA4 have pretty much zero resemblance (bar how they're both based on New York).

If the same city is so hugely different, they can't be in the same universe.

To be honest, as much as I liked most of the GTA3 era characters, I much prefer new characters and instead have easter eggs relating to the last gen characters. It's less restrictive trying to make them match up and more fun trying to spot all the references and easter eggs.

At first I was disappointed that we wouldnt be getting any of the old characters. Thought IV was just going to be an introduction before they brought them back for V. But, as time goes by I'm glad they are seperate.

I'm more interested in what became of the Lost MC than what CJ did with his millions of dollars.

I'd be very much the same. I'm a big fan of Sons Of Anarchy and the MC's usually have chapters so the Lost MC could have a decent role in GTA5 with completely new characters from the Los Santos chapter.
