I'm 20 (given away by my username I guess :P), but you're never too old to get excited about games!

The average of "gamers" is higher than you'd think, given that the majority of "gamers" nowadays started gaming in the late 80's or during the 90's.

Even look at sites like IGN. Their staff are mostly in their late 20's/early 30's and they still go batsh*t insane over stuff.

Im 26, and still get the same buzz waiting for and playing games as i did when i started (first game was Rastan for the Sega Master System)

Off topic here a bit guys but as we wait for this new trailer, humour me..

What ages are the boardies here... I am wondering if I am too old to get excited for a game such as this, other ages would make me feel better (or remain the same :))

    I'm 31

Well I'm 32 and quite frankly don't understand all the hype of the GTA series. Find them boring, repetitive (a new city doesn't really help if all you do is drive there, shoot Mr. X, drive back) and loaded with pointless, time wasting gimmicks and minigames.

Then again, I hardly like any of the "mainstream" games - can't stand military style shooters, for example :P

    GET OUT!

What do you want, games about philosophy? Perhaps Rockstar could come out with a compelling critique of Plato's Dialogues?

I'm 25, so GTA 1 was the first playstation game my mother wouldn't let me have when I was ~11. Of course I managed to sneak it home anyway and have been hooked since.

I've gone off gaming big time in the last couple of years. I've bought COD(2), GT5 and FM13 but never feel the playstation/PC calling out to me when I'm at home. That said I really cant wait for GTA5.....I think the week off sounds good!

Definitely be taking that week off. That's why I want a release date as soon as possible. At least then I can book it off well in advance. Was supposed to book a few days off for when Assassin's Creed 3 came out but something came up and had to come in.

With a mortgage, bills and two kids....no time off for me I'm afraid come release time. I'll have to make do with late nights after everyone is gone to bed.

Try 25 last month and for sure I'll make sure I have nowt on around the time of release so I can put a stupid amount of hours into the game :)

GTA, Assassin's Creed and Uncharted are gaming series I'll make time for.

I'm 27. In fairness, anyone my age and actually a bit older, have grown up with GTA. The original was released in 1997 and I reckon I would have first played it when I was 13. I was 17 when Vice City came out so that was when I was big into the series. Then it's just been a case of waiting for the next one to come out in the intervening years.

Someone could have easily been 25 when the original came out and been a fan every since. That would put them at 40 now.

"Football, football, football, football, football, football, football, football, football… what you men see in it, I don’t know. A load of men kicking a bit of leather ’round a field. You men, the things you think are ‘great fun’. Like going to the films, a load of men sitting around looking at films! And rollercoasters, a load of men in a rollercoaster going up and down on a big metal track! And sailing, a load of men in a big boat floating around in the sea! And shouting, a load of men going around shouting! And so forth…"

6 hours to go. I'm 36 and I'm pretty damn excited by even seeing a trailer.

I just realised I won't be home till about 5 so I will miss the buzz.

I'm 28 and I'm waiting with giddy excitment for this game. I was 13 when GTA 1 came out, loved it, but kinda went off GTA until SA came out. That game actually broke up a relationship I was in at the time. No regrets :pac:

    I'm 25.

I'm expecting the game to come out in April and I have exams in (probably early) May. That means I only have to hold back for a few weeks. A couple of hours at a time rather than constant playing until after the exams then I'm free to destroy it :D

In terms of minigames, on top of poker and whatever else they have planned, i'd love to be able to visit a park that has chess boards set up for people to use, and play a game

    Good Luck!

I just posted on how I've faded out of gaming, the main exception being when doing exams!!

As soon as exams were over.....the incline to play games evaporated. (Replaced by alcohol).
