    I'd say the rain definitely qualifies as heavy in Cork now, with occasional moderate falls! Will go get my waterproofs together soon:D

    Aren't we lucky the UK Met office show an interest in our weather over here!!
    Met Eireann as per usual playing catch up


    I don't think Met Eireann's rainfall radar is as good as it used to be, before they 'upgraded' it.

    getting Brighter here now ... expect the sun out sooner then more rain .... rainfall wasn't to bad over here

    Path out to the fields by the Shannon in Athlone is now completely submerged... will try get out in a bit to take some photos.

    I'd say it would be a few hours yet before the rivers start to take on the rain water from the area... so ye, those tents will become flotents! ha :)

    Extremely windy also today and early Monday with southeasterly gales and gusts of 80 to 110 km/hr in exposed places.
