OP: Are you sure you're not misinterpreting Irish people's (and a lot of other English-speakers') love of 'ripping the piss out of each other', 'slagging each other off' or to use the US term 'roasting each other' with agresssion?

We love nothing more than a good argument.

This list is of people accused of bigotry who I felt should be defended. It's also me being as generous as possible to Monty as now there should be tonnes of possible examples available for him to support his accusation.

That's not us belittling your faith, it's us challenging that faith. If that bothers you, I suggest the problem is with your (misguided?) faith rather than the atheist picking holes in it.
