ah the money really would have come in handy too.

Lesson learnt over the past few years of going on bargain sites and stuff like this, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Wonder what happens with the paypal accounts sthough

I "won" a bet too apparently, a €60 stake won me €61.81 so I assume that's the corrected odds (even though it still says the old odds on the receipt).

The fact that they "caught" your account and made it negative probably means they'll equally "catch" the transaction and your laser card wont be credited.

It's the paypal crowd I expect to have the best chance.

Personally, I'm still watching the money sit in my PP account, hoping for a miracle.

This negative thing is a bit strange though, no? Can they not retract all the winnings and just return what we staked or else put what we staked to the corrected odds?

I once had eBay charges I knew nothing about (apparently, when I bought/sold stuff, the irish ebay took a bunch of cash off me each month) and got a letter from some stern-sounding collection agency, telling me I had XX days to pay up or be taken to court.

I suspect if that's how eBay works, PP wont be any more forgiving.

If they cant get back the money you withdrew, negative balance is their best chance. Close your account and bail! Thats what i will be doing if hopefully my account goes negative

Have you already withdrawn? My guess is that they suspend an account as they take away the cash you got from the Palace game, then reactivate it when the damage is done.

Yeah withdrew it to my laser straight away, surely id get my stake back at least.

Yeah but it should be negative the whole amount. I used to work in PayPal and any pending withdrawl you could stop within 24 hours for fraud reasons. Not sure what system PP use but suspect it's similar.

All you can do is wait and see.

It's all down to how quickly the transaction from PP to your bank account went.

If the money was still on the side of PP, they're just going to cancel it and reset your balance with whatever odds they want to give the +2 bet.

If the money made it to your bank account, they're most likely going to have to send something official to ask for it back. Really doubt your bank would just hand money over to a gambling organisation without your permission.

Unfortunately, the first option is the most likely one. Can't imagine it was processed quickly enough to make it to your account.
