Take your point Lapin....But I was thinking about the state of our "democratically voted in politicians" who seem to lose the plot when voted in by us the .....etc.etc.....

Is there ever going to be a change in the way the country is run at this rate?......

    Reason for depression...Part One......?

PS. The west is the best place to run when you're depressed - watch out for visitors!!!!!!!!!!

It really surprises and disappoints me that somebody could watch her on TV and really think she has a decent grasp of the numbers behind the points she makes.

At least I can understand her. Would you prefer Damien English ?

I still cant work that one out... She doesnt sound like she's from Newbridge.. If you think her accent is bad, you'd wanna hear the Moorefield accent... And I heard the other day that Jim Power used to live in North Kildare... I may be packing my bags shortly..

Yes its a strange accent alrite that she has, its a cross between a Cabra/Finglas accent with some North Co Dub throw in. The Newbridge accent prob didn't go down well with the socialist brotherhood in her DCU days that she cultivated one of the local working class ones.

Vinnie is a "former" lot of things himself.

This makes him the biggest "has been" of the lot !

This could descend into "It was better in my day" with so many ex-RTE staffers on the panel.

Hello guys; tonight's show is interesting as it is are the changes at RTE News and Current Affairs Department and the axing of Prime Time Investigates enough? I was viewing the story on the Nine O'Clock News and I have to say I am not surprised about the outcome of the Mission to Prey programme; even though I hadn't watched it. Though I was completely shocked and unheard of by the apology made by RTE to Father Kevin Reynolds.

That Ger Colleran from The Irish Daily Star is not usually seen outside of his own paper IMO.

    whatever happened to this show
once upon a time you could be assured of at least one good looking woman on it

i dont blame them for taking their chance, and they arent saying anything wrong, but TV3 are really taking their 'holier than thou' chance arent they.

So Prime Time Investigates will just be called something else I hope. No need for it to be cancelled.

Love vinny's dismissive "that wasn't a quality paper" about the Sindo.
    :D

Colleran defending the quality journalism of the red tops because they don't get sued as often as the broadsheets.

    Don't make me laugh Ger.

The editor of the star on a high horse about the standards of journalism. :pac:

Oops, Sorry for the error guys. My mistake. :o

I have only watched this programme when I was on Boards.ie; nowhere else.

Do you know how many times he presented it?

I have to agree with Ger, sounds like RTE are just going to hire another two layers of management to rubber stamp scripts.

VB has a point about the taxi drivers on Prime Time.

That turned out to be a witch hunt.

Did the Tribune make a profit? She is going on about running a profitable newspaper.

RTE, in the main, has always been an FF deferential broadcaster.

Surprised that Murdoch story hasn't had a Mossad link yet thrown in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,301 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Did anyone the Panorama programme on BskyB and News International?

I am just asking this as I don't have BBC at home.

Yes surprised VB didn't pull her up on that, she is only running the Indo online not the full newspaper. Far bit of bragging allowed let go tonight by VB.

Ger Colleran getting a bit carrried away with their story on the flu deaths in Donegal... I'm inclined to agree with Noreen Hegarty on this... sad, tragic, but not exactly front page stuff...

and lol at Ger's dissing of Charlie Bird - wholeheartedly agree with that!
