Was just wondering if there was any retro games that make the use of 3D Glasses,
    anyone know of any?

The master system and Famicom both had 3D headsets and a few games that supported 3D on them. They were well ahead of their time and used the same shutter LCD lens system that modern 3D TVs use.

    Yep.

The first Contra game on the PS1 and Saturn had a 3D mode that worked with green and cyan glasses. I'd recommend that nobody play that game though.

Random thought but, hows your disease? Is it gone yet?

Don't start. Was clearing up grand then one of the sores was so deep it formed a cyst, it grew to about 2 inches in diameter in just 2 days. So I'm back on a different antibiotic. Nearly had to go to a specialist to get it cut out, would have cost 150 euros just for a consultation. Thankfully the antibiotics worked so no need for that. It also was no where near as painful as the last time which was debilitatingly bad. It's pretty much cleared up now and should be off the antibiotics by wednesday.

GoG sale starting on monday, steam sale will probably follow. I'll need about 200 euro on my O2 card to survive.

Maybe Enda will cut your cyst?

Then again he may go the other way and introduce a cyst tax.

Often, if it's deep, they'll cut their way in, like a medical Mr Driller, and pack it with betadine tape, an iodine soaked dressing, and allow it to heal from the inside out...
    Nice!

So, where does this leave on the personal hygiene/deodorant score?
One smelly pit / one that attracts the ladies?

I can't use deodorant until it clears up so I've been ponging the place out of it :P

Does this mean you can start playing Zelda?

My latest annoyance is your little Navi style helper... You know how annoying that sound is when your hearts are low in a Zelda game? Well in Skyward Sword you get that going on as well as having your helper beep at you for your attention so she can tell you that your hearts are running low via a dialogue panel...

Fecker also keeps butting in to tell you the batteries in your Wiimote are running low.

I want to start Skyward Sword but I'm procrastinating on playing it. I started playing Vanquish and finished it yesterday and also started System Shock and Portal 2 on the PC and have been getting back into PC gaming. I also want to start some PC RPGs since getting into a great Dungeons and Dragons weekly group. Also want to try out Minecraft since the update and try finish it and get back into playing it online.

Might just finish Portal 2 and maybe System Shock before I start Zelda. I know Zelda will take over all my gaming time when I do play it. Not had much time lately since I'm trying to finish a research paper before christmas.

Zelda Skyward Sword = Pain in the arse controls.

Instead of redefining our relationship with the series via a new and intuitive control scheme we have been kicked in the nads with yet another poor use of the now over-rated gestural interactions with the console.
The big surprise is that Nintendo slipped so badly here, given that the only real own goal with the Wii from them has been WiiMusic.

For that idiot child you're not best fond of but are obliged to get a gift for: the annual wall of "back of a lorry" stalls include a large array of mario bootleg merch this year. Including a Mario Kart selection with a guarantee to last twenty minutes on Christmas morning before breaking!

Must have a go at using this Dreamcast emulator... Here's Shenmue running in HD and widescreen:

Sany are still prícks so it seems. Vita is still gonna be awesome but now it'll be limited to one PSN account. There goes the Japanese PSN account for shmuppy goodness:(
I just hope it doesn't end up region locked like the 3DS

Say goodbye to your convenient Japanese PSN account. NeoGAFfer mehdi_san took part in a PlayStation Vita demo event in Osaka, and received a flyer with launch information. A note at the end, according to the user's transcription, reveals that only one user account can be used on a Vita system. "If you want to use a different account," the (translated) FAQ entry reads, "you need to format the system to factory settings."

This leads not only to the inability to have separate user accounts for family members, but to de facto region locking for digital content. Taken with the limited UMD Passport launch lineup, the limited (to zero) PSOne Classics launch lineup, and those memory card prices, the Vita is starting to lose some of its luster, at least as a day-one purchase. But that screen!

Yet another incentive for someone to exploit the system. I mean at this stage, you have to worry about the hamster at the controls of the Sony machine...

Not just Sony it's also Nintendo being dopes this whole thing stinks of being scared after the rampant piracy of the last few years.
Tis a shame that they feel like that since it's gonna block us from getting the most out of the console.

But to make the Wii not allow dvd playback out of the box...a lesson in complete stupidity. What's someone gonna do, softmod it to allow dvd playback. Then they say, oh wait, look what else softmodding can do...

I don't condone piracy at all, but companies need to maximise their products, otherwise hackers will do it for them. And at that stage the doors to piracy get thrown open.

Very true sir!. I demand access to all services / software etc. for the consoles I own and if the makers aren't up for it I'll find someway to get what I want

It's not that bad actually, you can still change accounts on it but it's just more of a pain in the ass. At least it's not entirely blocked like the 3DS.

Sony had it bang on at the start. Let the machine do everything that legitimate homebrew would do, & control with with a hypervisor. It's no coincidence that the console was exploited within weeks of its removal (OtherOS on the slims, & planned removal of all existing platforms)

If that console CAN do it, then LET it do it, as in the case with the Wii & dvd playback. Every single console I can think of, does better things when its modified in some way...be it multi region gaming, 60hz displays, media center abilities. Its ridiculous really that hackers are still being given incentive to break system security to achieve these things.

The basic every day pirate wouldn't have the ability to crack current gen console security, & its only because of wanting to fully utilise a system that we have piracy rear its head.

I think it was Apple who wrote the book on deliberately ham stringing their devices, limiting the abilities of their creations and making custom (read Dodgy) firmware a must.
Sony and Ninty have caught on fast though!

This video is completely amazing. I just had to share.

If it doesn't gee you up to go eat a bowl of corn flakes, or go and play Gradius V or ride around your front room on a pretend horse, then you truly are deprived of life!

You'd think they could have integrated some of WiiMusic into Skyward Sword. The harp playing isn't particularly inspiring.

Have you finished it yet? I've just reached the rollercoaster level... pretty good fun.

Just listening to some of the Shenmue Album suite I grabbed online the other day.
    Sounds great on the iPhone.

    Sample:
    http://soundcloud.com/retromanie/shenmue-sedge-tree-original

It's even got the orchestral version which sounds great.
I've always been a fan of the soundtrack to that game and was happy to see a flac version floating around with all the Japanese extras included:)
