How to get Channel 5 and BBC One HD on your Irish EPG and Recordable!!

Right got the up date today and have the card trick working on epg itv2,3,4 and there + more4+1 4hd no ch5 but have the rest of the5 family no itv hd have picks to follow as soon as i find a data cable











I have been playing with this for an hour or so it is working and recording I'm missing a few channels I had will post back when sorted

What have you done different to get the channels on your epg?

I booted box with a NI FTV card saved the ones I wanted to other channels and to favourites removed NI FTV card put in sub card all were stuck I still cant get the setanta one to do the full card trick but got it to do this.

Yes it is recording??????????

Got the update a couple of weeks back - card trick was working ok.
Got power cut today - tried card trick 5 times ....

The card trick (with the favourites button) has stopped working

I have the card trick on my fav's but dogtoffee you seem to have found a way to get it on the epg,can you explain it out exactly how you done it,thanks very much in advance

this would only work with my ftv card the setanta one have would not work
rebooted box with FTV card
added channels to favourites
went to tv guide
removed ftv card
put in sub card
all the channels were there

Have you made sure that they are in other channels first and that they are saved in favourites? (remember the channel numbers changed this morning)

Hmmm, I wonder if it only works with a current active FTV card??

Thats what I'm trying to find out but I seem to be the only one how has got it to work.

tried it with itv west anglia but no joy. still can record by using the blue button. happy out

Yes - other chans and Favourites are set up , but no luck - just wondering if Sky have started to disable the trick ?

I'm following this with interest as I haven't got the update yet and it is due any day, but I wonder if you did a forced update would it would it work again for you.

I had to do it on both my boxes this morning because channel numbers changed and it continues to work fine, when you put your uk card in is it changing to uk epg?

Maybe it'd be a good idea if people let us know if they are using a White or Blue card and what region it is as this may have a bearing on whether the full trick or favourites trick works??

Many Thanks for the help ...Back in business - Did a forced update, Added channels again and saved favourites again. All is good
Phew

BTW I am using a White card (region = London) and can only get the favourites trick to work -
Will not appear on the EPG since the new system update

I'm using a blue Itv London card. It only works on Favourites button with new epg. I can't get them on epg at all, as soon as I swop back to the Irish card it switches back to channel 998 and Irish epg appears.

Cards can be got on adverts.ie or on Ebay or I think Setanta will send one out for free. I think the Setanta one was discussed earlier in this thread.

I used a white NI FTV card and the full trick is working I have an other hd box I will force an update and try the trick with it.

I have a blue London card. Uk channels only available through blue button. But I can still record and series link so not too bad!

Maybe Sky are working to restore the full card trick to their beloved Irish customers :rolleyes:

Just did a forced update and it does not "download" new EPG. Will just have to be patient...........:(

The card trick only seems to work with the EPG update if you have a NI FTV card, I did the trick with one and it brings in the EPG but I also have a Scottish FTV one and it wont work with that.
BTW the cards are both blue ones
