You'd be surprised what they can fix. Its a pet hate of mine, those ignorant taxi drivers who take no notice of other road users. We pay road tax too!!! and because many of us use the road less, we should have priority over them :D
    Motor tax...

Yes I am also a cyclist! xD

I do have the original covers that came with the car... Wait I binned them and got another set actually! :D

    2 like this:

    $(KGrHqN,!hsE-SnJnY(HBPlF8b5)Tw~~60_35.JPG

They just clip in to position, so easily removed if necessary :)

If you could get a hold of one of those twirly sanding/sculpting needle dealies you'd have that out in no time.

Hmmm, if only you could remove the larger honeycomb behind the small honeycomb pattern, I think it would look awesome. Maybe some very delicate sanding if you have the patience.

I'll dig out the old set and butcher them so. An experiment in the making :D

I know what you mean, tidy it up a bit :)

Ehhh... I'm not up to speed on my power tools but what I think it is, is a burr that gets put into a straight drill type thing. :|

I'm going to try and draw one in photoshop. BRB!

Edit: Right, I'm sorry I'm not a better artist but this might help.
It's used for metal sculpting I think.

    YES!
And thankfully know I know what they're called. Seems like it'd be the thing to do job anyway. :)

well that'd probably work too but is it not only the "bit" that's different?
I just thought the smaller, needly bit would be handier with for access.

The large honeycomb is there for a reason, it'll vibrate like mad without it

I was thinking of that too. There is some sound out of it at the moment though :)

Wonder is it possible to wedge something between it and the doorcard...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,548 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

    Wedge what where now?

Bit of silicone and clip it in, don't remove the honeycomb bit

Some sound deading material on the door itself, like dynamat would really help with the sound quality.

Replaced a sheered sump nut on the 96 civic. Noticed a few drops of oil on the drive since the last service. The one time I give the car to someone else to service. I don't know how it stayed in the sump.

Just collected the car from wheelwizards...they are after doing a fantastic job on the wheels...they look like I bought them new from Toyota!

Pics coming although the weather doesn't do them justice ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,668 ✭✭✭eringobragh

Unfortunately its bucketing AND very bright out, so these pics don't do the job any justice but them look fantastic...cheers to Colm and Mark in wheelwizards.ie, talking to them you can tell they are passionate about what they do. Delighted with the job

No need for before shots as they were a disgrace :)

    Wow, they look brilliant.

Man, the alloys look class. But what your next project?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,920 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

It's about time you got them done! Now, out with the D/A :D

Man, the alloys look class. But what your next project?

    few bits in the pipeline:

    * still a few small detailing bits left (including exhaust tips)

    * I've a pair of power folding mirrors from a JDM MR2 that I am going to wire into the car along with a 4 x window rollup module so the mirrors fold and windows rollup on alarm

    * rust proof the underbody and arches

    * clean up the engine bay

    * Interior detail including dying the driver side bolster

....I'm sure I'll think of a few other bits

I don't know but if it's not the one mik_da_man has, change your wishlist!

It's the best one overall, miltek system is over twice the price tbh and all it gets over it is 4" tailpipes

    Looks nice all right.
How much are the downpipe and cat?

    Mine is mongoose btw.

Looks great, mind telling us how much the refurb on the wheels costs?

enough :pac:....324euro all in for the 4 (Includes tyres on/off, etc)

to be honest it seems alot but I have the car a year and had €0 depreciation...well thats how I'm going to justify it anyway :o

I can't recommend wheel wizards highly enough, they are truely passionate about what they do.
