Yang is the decent democrat they need.
This is someone I would vote for if I was American, this is a candidate that can beat Trump.

Americans have had a black president, but I think they are a long way off electing an Asian president. You have to remember that Trump is the current president, and a huge amount of the population wanted/wants him as president.

Celebrity feuds are usually as soulless and manufactured as their pop song lyrics, but in the case of podcaster/comedian Joe Rogan and professional lunatic Alex Jones, the spat is genuine, and far too amusing not to follow.

    professional lunatic :D:D:D:D

Edit- actually reading further in the article, they say
Joe Rogan has always enjoyed chatting with pseudoscientists and eccentrics ....

.... unhinged individuals have the opportunity to spread their gospel.

hmmm hinting that's the majority of the guests.
I wonder who these "pseudoscientists" and "eccentrics" are ?

    Sam Harris ?
    Roger Penrose ?
    Brian Cox ?
    Neill DeGrasse Tyson ?

There's no way Americans would get behind him. He'd be called a thief and a socialist and he'd be done.

Really enjoyed the Travis Barker podcast - he speaks in a really calm manner and presents himself well - you'd think he has a podcast himself but I suppose he's been in the media a long time so perhaps that's where his media skills come into play. Very interesting chat between them.

Haven't listened to the Dorsey one because I don't really give a shít about Twitter tbqh and the backlash Rogan got from it kind of backs up that view for me. The Sam Harris one, where he discusses it and they discuss pay models online (I'm only a bit into it), is very interesting so far. I like Harris and it's interesting to hear Rogan talk about the podcast and how it works for him given it's probably the yardstick for a lot of people looking to setup a podcast.

Brian Cox being on recently was also a real treat, made me feel dumb, kept having to go back 15 seconds to listen again because I didn't understand first time around fully

I'd imagine it's referring to a lot of the health people he has on. Like the ones who say stuff like it's fine to eat as much fat in your diet as you want as long as you don't eat any sugar.

Only getting around to the Elon Musk episode now! Just listened to the first hour so far. Have to say the first hour was a bit of a slog for me. Does it continue along these lines or does it pick up?

Nope, I found him very irritating to listen to and unless you're oblivious to where technology is going he didn't really say anything I hadn't heard before

Listening to the Brian Cox podcast here now. Love it. I'll try Elon Musk next.

    I love this podcast.

The guests aren’t always great and after a while I’ll turn off but every 3rd or 4th podcast is just brilliant...and it’s always the ones you least expect. Joe is great at getting guests into a comfort zone and just listening.

Of course you’ll always have the questions like “Did you ever try DMT” and “Did you know there’s a breed of monkey that does this crazy thing...”. But that’s just Joe!

In one of the podcasts with Rhonda Patrick (deffo not invovlved in snake oil selling) he absloutley slams Dave Asprey and his mycotoxins and his 'marketing' of bullet proof coffee.

It's what Rogan says after he reams off some scutter that is usually completely impossible.

I remember he had that sceptic guy on and he got a bit heated and petty because he was dubious of a previous guest who was a friend of Rogans saying with some vitamin he couldn't get drunk and no hangover an all this nonsense. The sceptic guy said that he sounded like a quack trying to sell his stuff. Rogan insisted he didn't sell it.

Course it turns out he did actually sell the supplement.

I'm dubious of anyone Rogan is a sycophant around as they are usually selling something, a sponsor or a business Rogan may be involved in.

Call me an idealist but I really, really, really, really doubt Rogan is getting paid to put have someone on the podcast just to sell something. He doesn't need to do it.

Advertising is one thing and integrity of why you bring a guest on is another thing

Ah cmon, how many of his guests have a special or a book or something coming out around the time they go on his podcast?

The podcast circuit is like a press tour. Same people suddenly turn up on a bunch of popular podcasts within a close time frame.

Some times it's just some PR exercise like the Twitter guy and he was just on Sam Harris' podcast as well.

i think I heard he is getting around $75.000 per episode - so make of that what you will regards the above

The reason I came in here is to get you all to listen to 1250 Johann hari.

    IT IS SENSATIONAL

Almost brought me to tears on a few occasions but it is an utterly fantastic spitfire of truth about the ridiculous policy regarding the war on drugs and the human impact in places like mexico and beyond.

Johann explains it so well in plain english and outlines with proven results legalization has had in other countries.

I cannot recommend a better listen for 3hrs of your life than the below

I like Alex Jones, but he has been cursing Joe from a height since he was last on the podcast. And the guy who presents his show on Infowars for a hour a week has been waging war on Rogan as well, calling him Toe Rogan. This is a bit of a turnaround.

Why?!? He’s as entertaining as it gets. I don’t get not listening to someone because you don’t like them or your mind is already made up. Tones of Rogans guests are complete assholes and that’s what makes the show great.
