    Between already owning alot of games and alot of them being cheaper and more practical for me to buy on disc due to my slow connection, i only got Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and afew cheap pieces of DLC - grand total 6 quid!

  • Registered Users Posts: 81,677 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

    I wanted to buy more, but I realised I was just probably buying them to collect, not to play.

    Magicka has been a brilliant purchase, granted I paid 16 when an hour later it went to 8, its unbelievably fun.

    Few of us played an arena deathmatch there and it was a barrel of laughs, so creative in terms of the spells you can cast , brillaint

    I should be ashamed to admit how many games I've ended up with in total now on Steam.

    So I'll pretend I'm ashamed instead. Fool proof plan!

    Woe is me :(

    I have 270 games on Steam, so its little wonder I didn't buy anything on the current sale (thank god)

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,186 ✭✭✭moonboy52

    I bought:

    Fallout New Vegas + 2 DLC
    Divinity 2
    All the DLC for Just Cause 2
    KOTOR

    I now have 184 games with Steam:eek:

    theres probably someone out there that has unlimited access to all the Steam games
    I'd say Gabe has one, lucky bastard ;)

    A lot of stuff in the sale I had already, but in the final days I still ended up getting:

    * Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum (I already have the base game retail, but got this for the supposedly excellent "Mask of the Betrayer" expansion)
    * Battlefield Bad Company 2
    * Terraria
    * Amnesia: The Dark Descent
    * Mass Effect 2 (actually bought this for very cheap for 360 a while back, but never played it and would much prefer to play it on the PCBox)

    One or two tempting titles there, but I spent about €200 on collector's editions this year already, so I decided that it really was a better idea to have something besides Koka noodles to eat until winter and let the sale go without picking up anything...

    Anyone ever seen

    http://www.steamcalculator.com/

    It calculates in dollars, the value of all the games you own. Based on full steam retail price though as opposed to what you bought the game for on sale.... It's scary!

    I had heard about it but never used it.

    I just ran it there:

    Found 163 Games with a value of $2413.88 USD
