Nothing for me in July. Slightly remarkable that the 50K winner in Cavan last week and today's 50K winner in Dublin are both from the ABA series, issued in 2015. Also a bond from the very early days got €500 today.

State Savings introduced a limit of €250K for new depositors to the ordinary account on 13 July. It only pays 0.15% and that is subject to DIRT. With negative interest rates now common in the banking world, I think it can't be long until the Prize Bonds suffer another reduction in the prize fund.

Decided to re-invest 4 weeks back. Put 35k in, based on best savings account returns at present ill need 3 wins to beat savings account returns but based on the win ratio of people with far greater sums invested then me I wouldn't be too confident of it. Worth a punt though!
