The road signs for the Wexford cycle loops are always a bit mysterious, but this one is just bizarre...Do they want me to go down there?

What're the buildings in the background used as?

That's the beautiful St. Senan's psychiatric hospital. Gigantic place, and lovely from every angle.

First time up the Dublin Mountains since last May yesterday, was not expecting it to be so bad up there!

Some of the carnage overlooking Lough Bray. Must have come across a dozen stranded or abandoned cars between Glencree and there.

It looked absolutely amazing, so naturally I had to chance going up to the mast!
    8508584530_2fcee68f51_z.jpg

After a long struggle, finally made it to the top.

Spectacular photos - be careful up there - the rescue teams have been very, very busy; http://www.dwmrt.ie/callouts/

Descent was great fun, carving up the fresh powder! Good thing I checked my brakes before coming down though, they were frozen solid by the time I got to the top!

I run La Lanterne Rouge Pyrénées Cycling Lodge, a cyclist only guest house in Saint Savin, halfway between Col du Tourmalet and Col d'Aubisque. I also do coast to coast and bespoke tours.

Despite being an engineer and having faith in good design, the irrational part of my brain would not let me work in that building everyday.

Was the twist part of the plan or did the builders make the same mistake on every floor?

More of the same - lunch time spin along the walkway, making the most of the weather. There's only be 3 days of rain this year, nearly drought conditions but so sunny and warm :)

A few from a spin this morning... a little bit of visibility in the wicklow gap...
no such luck in the sally gap... being drenched in freezing fog for 60kms was
actually painfully refreshing... taken with my iphone....
