    It was taken in Dubai.

Went up The Cut in the Slieve Blooms this morning, never saw a soul till I got to the top, where there was a gundog trial taking place.

    Misty up top,

But a bit brighter lower down,

Down to the bottom and back up into the mist again, you can see where it got its name.

Long straights make the Clonaslee side hard coming up, you can see how far you have to go, but the poorish surface stops (me anyway) you letting rip on the way back down.

There isn’t a photos taken after your cycle thread so I will throw this in here. If you think the wheel is bad, you should have seen my face after this spill.

    Heck! What happened?

don't know, i woke up in hospital later that day and didn't know what got me there.

i was training with a new club, didn't know that many of the lads to ask them what happened. no one is very sure, from the guys i have been talking to since, the best guess is some debris from the road got kicked up by the guy in front and went into the wheel. it sounds unlikely but something caused the wheel to collapse and there are no potholes or anything to cause this.

put the ride up on strava and the speed graph is interesting. the first interesting part, was doing 37kph and then a vertical drop to zero. the second interesting part was from when the cops were taking my bike back to the cop shop, they peaked at 97 in a 60 zone.

A few from a spin this morning... a little bit of visibility in the wicklow gap...
no such luck in the sally gap... being drenched in freezing fog for 60kms was
actually painfully refreshing... taken with my iphone....
