I know it's not a photo, but it's short and gives a better feel for the day.

Not a bad day out there today. Well, apart from being peppered by hailstones near Johnnie Fox's. And that puncture.

    Just to clarify Feck Sake,

IMO Velo is able to take at least as nice shots using a lot cheaper camera than his mobile phone with a camera built in, i.e. a pocket compact camera. Remember, it is the object behind the camera that is responsible for all the work, not the camera itself :).

Lovely shot. Dat's gas, I posted a photo from just up the road at de same time. How do you get the photo to show in post though?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,972 ✭✭✭Plastik

You have posted the photo as an attachment, uploaded directly from your computer. To show it in post, create a free a/c on a hosting website such as photobucket and upload the photo there as opposed to Boards. Once it's uploaded there they give you various links underneath ... the link that starts/ends with .... tags shows it for you on all forums.

Was coming the other direction, boy was I glad to see the end of the snow. Climbing in snow is one thing (very hard to get going again when you stop), but descending wouldn't facy that! I was thinking I might have to walk down. Luckily the snow was melted very soon after the road started to go down. Funny thing cycling up Cruagh from Rockbrook, I went from thinking about the pain and the strain of the climb to not thinking about that at all and just concentrating on keeping steady once I hit the snow.

When you upload and attach the image, right click on the link and copy it. Then use the image tags, and paste the image URL in between. Yours would look like:

    [img][/img]https://us.v-cdn.net/6034073/uploads/attachments/142775/245550.jpg

Or, like Plastik suggested, you can use an external image host like Photobucket or wthax, and they'll provide you with forum friendly tags when you upload your image there.

Don't remember feeling my fingers (which may mean they were about to drop off). I actually think it may have been above zero since the snow was starting to melt.

Glad we headed north rather than south from town on Paddy's Day. The sun even came out later.

I haven't been up there, but I'm told there is even more snow on Col d'Aubisque.
