    Looking good on HTC Desire.

What is the 'Range' that comes up when you tap on a user's icon in the map view? Is this how far away from another person they need to be to infect / attack them?

    Couple of points:
    * The Help didn't appear to be working - pointed browser to what looked like an internal IP address?

    * I see the Warning Notification system not there yet - any plans to introduce this?

Keep up the good work, looking forward to infecting / attacking with the new release.

@theblacknight The help page is pointing at your local address. 192.168.......

Thanks, the help section hasn't changed yet, just hit outbreakza.com to find it.

The range is showing that users range in metres. So if a user has a range of 600 and you have a range of 500, it is possible that you could be in a position where they can attack you but you can't attack them :)

The notification system will be introduced sometime after this weekend hopefully. Need to make sure everything is working properly, and as crash free as possible before market release so that's my priority for the next few days. Also need to update the website with leader boards etc.. they will be pretty basic at first.

Seems to be running great on my desire.

When I registered though I was infected straight away but nobody is in range of me.
Not sure if that was intentional to ensure there is at least 1 zombie in certain areas or an error but thought its worth mentioning

About one in ten people is infected when they register, it's not location based. Although I may do something like this in the future, make sure at least 5% of each country is infected etc..

Is the old version now defunct or will it be updated to this version?

Or in other terms, am I going to have to tell everyone to get this one as well or in a couple of weeks will the old one be updated to this one?

Working fine on my Galaxy Europa ( I think!)

I was able to use my original username, then it just gave me an identifier code. Is that how it's supposed to happen? Sorry for the stupid question.

Old will be updated to this version, this is just pre-release to get some feedback, and see if it is crashing on anyone, as I only have two devices to test on.

You created a brand new account. You can now use your user name (which is unique) and your identifier to log in again when I update the market version, or if you re-install etc..

I think that once it is working on my phone then it's probably doing grand!, and it is by the way. I tried to make it crash but had no joy.

Is the white map meant to be like that, no satellite image?

Edit, where's the option to change back?

Cheers just updated there. I didn't experience any issues with the last release. Samsung galaxy S, Darkys 9.5

One minor thing. On the first run it uses the vector view for the map. Only after going into settings, clicking back, did it display satellite. Think I'll stick to vector though :)

edit: pretty sure this is something to do with default=true being in prefs xml but you need to set that value to true in pref activity for it to be picked up on first run.

i went out to infect sachtmo82 and found i had to reset the app to be able to infect him. when i was driving to his location i had the app open and when i was in range i wouldn't let me infect him by tapping on him, i had to restart the app for it to infect him.
