Off to the cot early as I've got to keep the foot "elevated". That means pillows at the bottom of the bed and it impacts slightly on the zeds. Hounds don't seem to understand and the rush to get out the back door is something to be avoided ......... or one could finish up like a whirling dervish :D

    Goodnight and Good Moaning :)

getz - old bean! It may be time to do a little recce. Or else get one of those necklace thingies for Rover. One zap with the remote control will have him doing a Pakie Bonner-like dive. Since I fixed up my control fence here life has been far easier and now hound - master parameters have been restored. And the good thing about it is they don't realise that the master is the cause of their Electroconvulsive Therapy. :D Happy days indeed.

Goodnight Spread. Sorry to hear of your injury. If you put the pillows under the mattress to elevate the foot, it shouldn't interfere too much with the zeds.

Yes, agree, though it might take a folded duvet or a couple of blankets - but it is true that with the whole end of the mattress lifted you don't even notice the slope.

Could you prop up the end of the bed?

A few phone directories....or maybe you could use some of those old type fatal traps for mices

Thanks for all the good advice folks. Will try the pillows under the mattress tonight as Alice has urged. We're using a duvet the weight on the toes is not unbearable. Getting by on one crutch today and by Monday/Tuesday should be off them.

    Goodnight and Good Moaning :)

It has gone well today. I met the lovely Miss Golden Virginia. And the poor girl had to suffer the manic ramblings of an Oulfella for an hour or so.

I succeeded in most of what I intended, and it only took a day.

And I spent €400 (approx) in one day and two half days. Down to my last €5.

I have had a brilliant, restful but frenetic time.

Hopefully I can do a bit more in march.

Now where's me free beer for braving these wild folks of Dublin?

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,149 ✭✭✭✭looksee

Free beer and Dublin in the same sentence?

Hi Mr Rube, hope you have a good night in Dublin! - not at all rambling :)

I love jury duty. Was foreman last time. Awesome stuff seeing the whole process.
